Radius by Allen Stone is the best album of the year so far, discuss.
Me and my friend have our first musical performance this Wednesday and I'm starting to get a bit jittery about it. Any tips to get rid of the pre-show anxiety and just stage fright in general?
honestly you probably suck and there will be a handful of people in the audience talking amongst themselves saying how bad you are
just don't do it and chicken out. would you rather have be the guy who pussed out or the guy who made a fool of himself on stage?
Why are 99% of bands centered around the piano just really boring?
what do you peckerwoods and white devils think of Gil Scott-Heron? Specifically his first album pieces of a man?
the superior album coming through
rivers of my fathers makes me feel
preferably weird, indie stuff
I'm interested in seeing what gets other users most excited when listening to music
>Album ends with a short minute or 2 minute long drone
>Song builds up to the point where it becomes full of textures, chaotic and loud as sin (eg Wide Eyed, Meth Of A Rockette's Kick)
>Poppy songs/albums with a sense of chaos (CHz, Remedy)
>Deep vocals with an odd charm or personality (eg Mike Patton)
>songs transition into one and another
>good use of autotune
>that wet r&b sound (the sound at 56, 58, and 60 seconds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXbcm_lKd8E)
>song uses a single drum loop
>shoegaze with computerized drums
>multiple vocalists singing different things at the same time
>blast beats (or whatever other similar things that might be mistaken for them) in music other than metal
>hip hop drum breaks (been starting to listen more and more to hip hop and love how they sound most of the time)
>well used samples combined to make something that is actually music
>poppy songs with lots of guitar distortion or other abrasive elements
ITT: Music that's nice to have in the background while you try to go to sleep late at night.
>try to go to sleep
What kind of retarded feel is this?
I was sure Pitchfork was going to pander mindlessly to the UK indie crowd like they have with all their Arctic Monkeys reviews, but I'm glad to see they've gone the other way.
