I've listened to this album so many times and there's just something about it I can't fit my head around. What is the concept behind this album? I know it deals with childhood a lot but there's a certain dark element to it that I can't quite put my finger on. Explain pls.
Also do you think early AnCo would've been better if Deakin was theoretically part of it back then?
You have to be 18 to post on 4chan

And stgstv is pretty much a solo album
He was on HctI which is fucking awesome
What is the worst stage name of an artist / band name you can think of?
Shakey Graves always bothered me
FUCKING BLACK FAST
BLACK.
FAST.
ITS A BLACKENED THRASH BAND, NOTHING HAS EVER UPSET ME MORE THAN THEIR NAME.
Stupid post-rock names like maybeshewill, 65daysofstatic or sleepmakeswaves
I imagine he's sleeping or maybe eating a good nutritious meal, what do you think /mu/?
>>63846981

>>63846981
Does he poo in the loo?
>>63847041

Why do you people like Frank Zappa? His music is trash and his humor isnt funny or clever, it sounds very try hard
DUDE TOILET HUMOR LMAO
>listening to poseurcore
He's a pioneer of the brown sound and for that alone I love them
When he's actually composing in serious mode, he's great.

“In Japan, we couldn’t listen to TLOP officially because of Tidal,” “Subscription services in Japan are too slow, most people are still using iTunes and buying CDs. I thought it might be a good idea to make the whole album without listening to it, (but) maybe it’s reverse thinking.”
The result is 印象III : なんとなく、パブロ (Imagining “The Life of Pablo”), an amazing outsider’s take on the album built using sample credits found on WhoSampled, lyrics from Genius, a text-to-speech generator, and TOYOMU’s own imagination. It doesn’t really...

>FSMH Pt. 1 is uncannily close
>Silver Surfer is actually awesome instead of a stupid track to show how much cred Ye has
>"Nikeezy" is basically a different song from Facts, and a cool one at that
>Fade is better than the original
but
>the text to speech is often atrocious
>Low Lights sounds like Wesley Willis...

Does it contain audio from interview or just those 6 songs?

Bottomless Pit is going to be another visual album like Government Plates was. The evidence keeps showing up on their latest instagram posts, especially Ryan Trecartin being on Andys today. Zachs insta alligns with stuff that is on Sua Yoo's, with some crazy shit going on of course. Karen Black is the narrator, Death Grips are the directors along with Ryan Trecartin, Zach wrote the screen play, The band appears as cgi 3d models of themselves using mocap tech, Sua Yoo is used as an actresses, the guy from the interview will be in it, Crispin Glover and Ryan T. helped with...

We all agree on this right?
>>63846595

I just figured out what it's supposed to be. It's the aerial view of a walking (glowing) man.
It's a red sea lion, you dolt
seems accurate
nah its a plane with an arm coming out
sup /mu/, this is (in my opinion) the greatest album of all time. No doubt I've listened to it nearly 1,000 times, and it hasn't gotten old. Pure synth psychedelic euphoria. Best listened to after smoking a fat blunt but not required... seriously, I can throw on this album any time of day and have a great time. It always cheers me up. It's best to listen to all the way through form beginning to end. So if you've never heard it, please check it out. <3
I miss Washed Out so much man
I honestly love this album. I can't wait for Greene's next project

Great album. His Life of Leisure EP is just as, if not more, amazing. Listening to it is like heroin on a sunny day.
Giving this my first listen while reading the lyrics. One track in and I can tell I'm in for an experience.
good for you

thanks i guess this a pointless thread unless anyone has anyone has anything they particularly like about this album to add. but hey - it's not the shittiest post on here

Experimental; check, weird; check
ITT; Which is better? Person Pitch or Sleep Cycle?
You already know the answer, OP.
Person Pitch by a fairly small margin
>>63846280
This is my impression too after giving it three listens tonight but I guess I'll see in the coming days.
What does Deakin do for a living when he isn't touring or working with Animal Collective?
fish n chips cart
Drugs
Browses /mu/. Clearly.
Post music you don't like and why you don't like said music.
linkin park cause of their fanbase
Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains because it's a gayer, more embarrassing version of Andrew Jackson Jihad
I don't like post graduation Kanye west because braggadocio is only entertaining to wigger American boys aged 13 - 15
I'm not joking I listen to literal children's music like looney tunes OST and even I think kanye is obnoxious
