How about neither
Apparently she's the Led Zeppelin of pop.
Meghan Trainor has been accused of lifting the melody from a 2006 song called "Happy Mode" by the Korean pop band Koyote, for her single "All About That Bass". Songwriter Joo Young Hoon has said he is consulting with a specialized lawyer.
>My bias is towards the music, not the lyrics: it is called "rock music", not "rock literature". And there's a reason: as literature, it is worth very little. Even the greatest rock lyricists are, at best, mediocre poets. No surprise, therefore, that i rarely mention the lyrics of a song. The overall feeling is, in general, much more important than the literal message.
What did he mean by this? Did he mean that he is actually an illiterate moron who can't understand deep lyrics? Fucking retard.
He's right though, judging music by its lyrics are like judging a movie by its soundtrack. Both are important components, but will most often take the back seat to more important aspects.

He mentions lyrics at the end of Faust, one of his highest rated albums.

ITT: Bands with laughable songwriting.
Bonus points if it´s cringeworthy like pic related.

gods and griots def has their best material, the first and last 3 songs especially are phenomenal. i could do without black smoke rises tho, like i appreciate what they were doing but i still don't wanna hear it
People should check out the stuff they do with Ghostigital as well

>>63901422
I forgot about this album.
I want to forget again

Because there was a documentary on it and the kid was autistic

For people that are all about lyrics over harmony, melody, rhythm, and timbre, this record suits them just fine. I'm not one of those people but I get it. I'm a guitarist that likes good instrumentation and interesting chord progressions and all that shit, but I had some singer/songwriter roommates that really loved him, because they appreciate lyrics with unique metaphor and simile, regardless of what they're played over and how they're delivered
post some rym automatic recs and say things to others like what they should listen to idk
>>63901409
yours are a lot more interesting than mine
says something about how uninteresting I am I imagine
>>63901475

I'm so shit at using rym, how do I get these recs
what would be the opposite of shoegaze?

also happy friday uwu
Something good

Shoegaze got its name from the bands ''standing still and staring at their shoes'', so think of bands who stare up when they play.
