Is this the best 80s album?
Put these artists in order of musical talent.
Be careful though, this may seem like an innocent matter of opinion, but some people don't like opinions that don't match theirs. You might get assblasted.
Here are some audio samples of each artist for your viewing pleasure.
Bonus, another Nick Bean original:
What does /mu/ think of Five Finger Death Punch?
I'm interested to hear what /mu/ thinks of this, and if there's something similar out there outside of modest mouses' discography,as i'm a little new to the genre
that's quickly becoming one of my favorites
Honestly it's a bit of a stretch in ways, but Brand New has tons of inspiration from modest mouse though their sound is different
They're a solid recommendation in the first place but I say this because Life Like Weeds off that one in particular reminds me so much of this b-side by Brand New
The lyrics especially near the end.
If you like the the kind of zany guitarwork by them you'd...

Rumor has it that Scaruffi has a copy of this? What??
It's actually not so bad. Not great but definitely not bad.
after the hiatus they probably felt like they had to please everyone and had a hard time doing so
i hope now that they've come back they can make more albums that they actually want to make more frequently with less tracks
I really think the follow up to this album has potential to be their best since M&A. There were some good songs on StO as it is and the next one is supposed to be darker and more adventurous.
1. The Ground Walks
2. The Best Room
3. Pups to Dust
4. Tortoise and the Tourist
What's the fifth great song? Lampshades? If you say Sugar Boats you're wrong.
Anyone else now unable to listen to normal pop music? Years ago I could appreciate more avant garde works while also still listening to things like the Beatles. Now I try to listen to pop bands like them or pink Floyd and they are just so sonically and lyrically boring. I only feel satisfied when listening to avant garde music or wacky post punk like Devo or Dead Milkmen
What did you guys do to me?
Its good, its breaking away from the motion set 100 years ago.
However dont just listen to lyrics, listen to the music too.
I personally blame nursery rythms. I think think theyre a conspiracy to make people comlacent with listening to the same music but with different lyrics ( baba black sheep, twinkle twinkle, etc). This is turn creates a creature willing to do the same task for days on end that is easy to manipulate.

>Calling them "The Velvets"
Agreed. Why can't people appreciate LRD for what it is? Loud, feedback drenched psych rock with cool bass lines.
bands that unintentionally released their Greatest Hits with one album
first time visiting /mu/, what do you lot think of these guys?
describe this album in three words or less
