I just want to spread the love of this man. If you've never heard him before prepare to have your ears fucked
As a westerner, I got exposed to his msuic through Samurai Camploo and missed all of it happening in front of me. The collabs on his albums are great, his beats are so jazzy, and working with Shing02 made some of the best hip-hop I've ever heard. Good shit
Why do millennials hate Pearl Jam?

Is it weird that I don't use a limiter on my master track?
I use fl studio, so my tracks automatically come pre loaded with a limiter on the master, but I just realized that when I take it off, I get a much cleaner mix. Are you supposed to have limiters on your master tracks?
I make music with live instrumentation btw, if that counts for anything.
Is it just me or does TAL bassline straight up die if you turn the resonance up? The other frequencies just aren't there any more.
I guess, if you're dead certain you won't be peaking you can ditch the limiter. But if your gain's too low to go past the threshold, I don't see how it could do you any harm either.
I usually keep it for peace of mind in case there's a rogue volume spike, but I don't push it. Got a compressor doing that job more nicely. Though my music's...

Some analog filters do that, and since based on the interface it looks like it's meant to be an SH-101 emulation so that's probably intentional given that the SH-101 is an analog synth.
What is the worst album you have ever listened to in full?
Is there a song that's made you cry before without personal context? (e.g. crying to your favorite Taylor Swift song after a bad breakup).
Pic kinda related. But not really, I've never cried to a song before.
Am I literally the last person to find out that he often had a post-hardcore guitar style. I actually just listened to this for my first time yesterday and I had always just assumed it was like srv blues or something. Do all these seriously old people and soccer moms like it because of the frequent post-hardcore style or in spite of it. I was in a store recently and they were playing Kangaroo and when I asked what it was my mind was literally fucking blown.
What is so great about this album? Pitchfork just gave it a ten.
i have never been a metalhead. but ive spinned a couple times. And i prefer liturgy and deafheaven. i am total pfork metal tier when it comes to this genre of music. i feel bad for that
What do you do while you are listening to music?

Final thoughts on this album before it fades into obscurity?
Who's the Zappa of today?
Swans and Death Grips, two of arguably the greatest bands of the 2010's, are both releasing their potentially final album within the same year.
Which will be /mu/'s AOTY, though?
The Glowing Man or Bottomless Pit?
>Swans and Death Grips, two of arguably the greatest bands of the 2010's
>greatest bands of the 2010's
Man, assuming this is true, it really speaks to the lack of quality of 2010s bands.
