>The last album pitchfork gave a perfect score to for best new music was 6 years ago
That's why they're one of the most respected music review sites. They don't give out perfect scores for nothing, like most other sites do. I honestly expected To Be Kind to get a 10 just because of all the hype leading up to it and it still didn't get one.

only retards think this
are you a retard?
I'm a deaf guy who just got a fresh cochlear implant. Wanted to know what entry level music I should try out. People recommend coldplay. Are they good?
If regret is what you're looking for
they are a shitty U2 and Radiohead ripoff. just listen to their Joshua Tree and OK Computer instead. Beatles are probably the best entry level for popular music anyway.
Satie and Pachelbel's Canon are good for starting with classical

What was everyone's thoughts on Chambers [2014]?
>>64049674
It was bretty good
What's /mu opinion on this?
Sounds outdated by now, like most of the Ed Banger stuff. Was unique back in the day during the whole blog-house hype.

What makes you think it sounds outdated? The only aspect that sounds outdated to me is the hypercompression.

ITT: what musical genre has the cringiest fans and why is it metal?
Guy 1: "Hey dude, I don't know how to ask you this so I'm gonna be straight up about it. I want you to carve SLAYER into my back with a knife. I want to go to the Slayer show and take my shirt off so everyone can see, and maybe take some pictures of it."
Guy 2: "Fuck yeah bro I got you"

Also, what?
Is record store day just a giant scam /mu/ or is it legitimately worth it? I'm contemplating if I should go since I've never gone. Additionally I've looked through the catalogue and there's literally nothing I want. Should I even make the effort to go there nevermind early?
Sure it is but hey, you get extra hipster cred for supporting your store and your favorite artists

I feel like in my situation, the negatives far outweigh the positives
>>64049189
I feel like everyone knows it's a scam, it's a giant sales pitch, no one cares.

IT
>IT AIN'T ME starts playing
I'm really bored with music at the moment so to spice things up, I decided to start a marathon of listening to nothing but glam metal. I always found glam metal to be a fascinating genre and it's a genre not most people want to hear or have anything to do with so it'll be special undertaking. Just the sheer ridiculousness of how something so unlikely once dominated the mainstream charts is also pretty intriguing.
So what's the best way to go through an entire genre? I'm sure some people on here have done that. I was thinking of using RYM and...

Actually if that's what you want to do then that way of doing it is really good
this is the most ridiculous glam metal album i've ever had the pleasure of listening to
>>64049168
It has over 100 ratings so I'll listen to it. I doubt it'll be as ridiculous as any pre-Anselmo Pantera glam album.
