I fell for the "this album is front-loaded; don't listen past track 5" meme. Seriously I'm listening to it again and the back half is dope as well.
They dont want you to succeed
True, anyone who told you to listen to the front half is retarded. Both halves are equally shite.

So, what happened /mu/? You completely lost your shit over this album last week. Did you forget about it after p4k didn't review it?
I've been listening to it every day since it came out, and there have been threads about it pretty much every day since it came out.
OP LOVES GRIMES
>if you don't post about it 24/7 you've forgotten about it
I've listened to it every day and I know you're trying to catch everybody as hypebeasts or whatever, but you've failed

What happened to your cat?
Finally figured out how to get Kontakt 5 to install every library and not only a few.
Nord Stage 2 is really nice https://u.pomf.is/apvihq.ogg
I think I'll be using it over the much larger and resource heavy The Giant for now.

Albums parents will NEVER understand.
I popped some trash and in a little bit of time
I showed some cash and the girl was mine
I took her over town I wined her and dined her

all of a sudden she jumped out her seat
snatched me up by my wrist and took me out to the street
she started grabbin all over me kissing and hugging
so I punched her in the chin I said you better stop buggin

no dad and being mean to your mom isn't very alpha you goof
Anyone else here have an entire genre or maybe just an artist that literally makes them depressed?? Like, not out of nostalgia, but genuinely just gives you a bad feeling inside. Pic related for me. Idk if its cause i had bad experiences with weed when i first heard my friends shitty trap-influenced hip hop songs, but i can't listen to it. It just makes me sad.
>>64068194
because it's literally lowest denominator when it comes to rap music, a fucking disgrace to hip hop culture
>>64068246
even then it shouldn't have such a psychological impact on me. it just sounds "dark" and depressing. i just feel hopeless whenever i'm with people who are listening to it.
>>64068246
Trap brings producers more to the forefront. That's a good thing, it keeps things from getting stale. If you just wanna hear acapella rap songs, go ahead but don't bash an entire sub-genre just because it's popular.
>You make love just like a woman
So he's made love to men to be able to make the comparison, right?
>But you break just like a little girl
So how many little girls has he broken?
just, wow...

These three albums are largely responsible for the 2000's NME-core garage rock revival / post punk revival / indie rock meme. Looking back, did they have a positive overall effect on music? Discuss.
>>64068055
Interpol is average
The Strokes and The Libertines are fun, accessible, ultimately derivative bands with some really good songs, a lot of the music spawned by their efforts is poor, some of it is okay. Is This It and Up The Bracket are both great records, and the rest of the their combined discography is very hit or miss.
>>64068096
Really, I like Interpol the most out of these. And yeah, the artists they inspired have seen a lot of derision after the fact, but I still love Arctic Monkeys-core desu
>>64068055
While it would have been better if they pushed different, boundary pushing music instead I can't deny is this it is fucking amazing
>'Turn around bitch, I got a use for you. Besides I got nothing else better to do, And I'm bored.'
What did he mean by this?
In the tradition of the Rolling Stones and the Sex Pistols, Guns N' Roses was a band of psychopaths, delinquents, sex maniacs, junkies and alcoholics who liked to show and sound what they were. Appetite For Destruction (1987) was as harrowing an experience as being catapulted into a dark narrow alley of the worst Los Angeles neighborhood. William "Axl Rose" Bailey's nasty, offensive, anti-heroic vocal acrobatics fended off the double-guitar attack of Saul "Slash" Hudson and Jeff "Izzy Stradlin" Isabell, who indulged in unbridled concertos...
