>you will never hear mpp for the first time again
Listen to STGSTV, then try to say that MPP is better.
Listen to Trout Mask Replica, then try to say that STGSTV is better.
Listen to Strawberry Jam, then try to say that Trout Mask Replica is better.

Why do so many people hate her?
I mean, her music isn't that bad really, she's beautiful, she's practically a philanthropist with all her charity donations, and she stopped doing country music. What's with all the shit she gets? I mean, sure a lot of her (famous) songs are break-up songs, but she's not a goddess and should be expected to make mistakes. Even when people prank her she finds a way to turn it into good, like when she donated to that school for the deaf. So, what is so tabboo about Taylor that most of mainstream society show her so much disrespect?
Oversaturation. Sick of her being shoved down my throat everyday

Her music is shit and people are tired of the constant media coverage she gets.
>she's beautiful
Is electroswing for hipsters?
>>64128425
Electroswing is reddit
Electroswing is for tv commercials. I don't know why my friend gets a hard one for this genre.
The only people who listen to electroswing are extreme pleb tier females who talk about it when you ask them if they like jazz.
what's some good music for feeling free of an abusive relationship, /mu/?

What's vagina rock?
Strutter and Black Diamond are 10/10 hard songs though.
I'm tired of kick-snare-kick-snare rhythms. I'm tired of syncopation and cosonant, coherent chords. Shit, I'm even tired of dissonant, outsider shit like Jandek, Beefheart, math rock, etc. Noise/Shoegaze is fun but it builds off the foundations listed above and gets boring as well.
I'm ready for the final frontier of music. What is it? I need something that can barely be considered music, give it to me baby
maybe some free jazz

I've been lurking for a while now and I've seen a lot of dumbasses on here complaining about "compression". I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that almost none of you actually understand compression, and most of the time you're either parroting what other people have said or actually just complaining about shitty production.
I want to see some actual examples of songs that are "too compressed" or what you think a nice production job sounds like. Fight me.
bump to give /mu/ a chance

This is a band I recorded a few years ago everything is over compressed and it's just garbage

This is something I finished today
It is compressed great you can really tell the difference in the vocals and bass.

What is your opinion on gore, racism, pedophilia, sexual violence, questionable politics and generally hateful or violent themes in music and art?
Should they be censored? Have their distribution controlled? I found out recently that Discogs blocked the sale of a few Mikko Aspa projects because of their content. Is this ethical? Should artists not have the right to explore these themes, even without consent from those depicted? And what about in the case that it's done in genuine earnest, for example NSBM bands? This is something I've been thinking about a lot lately.
Racist, sexist and fascist music needs to be forbidden and people who write it should be shot. We live in a tolerant liberal society and there is no place for such music in 2016.
