Can and Neu! and White Light/White Heat
I'm a total prog-rock noob but I heard this album the other day for the first time and I love it. What are some essential prog rock albums to check out? Doesn't necessarily have to be super similar to this one, but it's cool if it is
try this

So which one's the best?

That image but in reverse order.

Laughing Stock obviously.
I personally prefer The Colour of Spring to the Spirit of Eden, but that's mostly just a preference.
>>64167698
Laughing Stock > Spirit of Eden > Colour of Spring
i liked him better when I thought he was in his early 20s. Being 35 and making this is kind of pathetic.

Why is this everywhere? Why is it being revered as the second coming of Jesus by "critics" as if it was avant-garde and innovative and blah blah blah? Shit's annoying
>>64167044
nope, it's good
Because it's good catchy fun music.
If you can't appreciate Young Thug you don't know how to have fun. Not everything has to be deep ass experimental bullshit.
Its Fetty Wap for contrarians
What are some more albums like fun's debut? Orchestral pop with great harmonies, etc
>>64167043
Fuckin Jellyfish. I'm sure they must've been a big influence. Especially Spilt Milk imo, but Bellybutton is great too. Ignore the awful album covers. Also listen to The Format's Dog Problems if you haven't. And XTC's Skylarking.
I too would appreciate any more bombastic sugary pop like this tbqh, these bands make me so happy.
>>64167043
i showed this to my friend's dad cause he was a huge ELO fan
>>64167602
yeah Nate was very influenced by XTC
