will this be panned in solidarity for Larkin Grimm? will pitchfork use the same excuse as the they did on Sun Kil Moon, and pretend the music just isn't as good, when you really know they're really just playing politics?
>>64169107
Yes it will be pretty much universally panned.
It will however, be their best since Children of God.
>>64169129
that's not fair
will larkin grimm get BNM on her next ep?
>>64169167
>that's not fair
babby's first Pitchfork-induced existential crisis
>People consider this as "art rock"
Honestly. By calling this "art rock". Can any rock album be "art rock"
>>64169065
damn...
I don't. Know.
there is art rock and then there is bizarro cult rock and TMR is strictly the latter

What's the deal with Schubert? Everyone goes on about him yet I've only heard one thing from him that I liked and most of the other works seem boring or just like second-rate in comparison to his contemporaries. Am I missing something here?
>>64169766
Try his late quartets and piano sonatas
Can we make some dust over this so it can settle so we can agree it's pretty damn good, but not her best work?
Also that mediocre PJ Harvey is better than 97.4% of other artists at their best?
I really, really like it.
>>64168807
Its pretty fantastic.
Definitely better on repeat listens. Obviously not her best, but as you said, even mediocre PJ Harvey is better than 97.44% of other artists at their best.
Post your favorite PJ.

Really? Brave choice my friend, brave choice. I liked that one least.
pic related is my favorite, first heard it from a pretty cool gf and it became our go to CD. But I really like how every song is different, yet good (at the very least - most are great) and how cohesive it is, without coming across like a labored 'concept' idea.
Second fave would be Let England Shake, formuch the same reasons - great songs and a consistent concept that never seems forced.

Okay, mu, I give up.
How did this motherfucker do it?
I've never heard a single song by him. I've never heard any acclaim for his albums. This guy for me came literally out of fucking nowhere. How did he go from virtually nobody to somehow being the highest paid, most popular DJ in the world?
If you tell me "Taylor Swift" as an answer I will not be pleased.

Idk but 3 of them are on Anthology

On bootlegs, or just in general?
Infinity. Strawberry Fields Forever.
Are there ANY well spoken artists? I have yet to find a well spoken artist.
>>64168731
Brian Eno generally is iirc
What about Henry Rollins?
The Beatles were generally funny in interviews and well spoken during their popularity, I think.
