Recently started listening to pic related. Not what I expected but I definitely enjoyed it. Some really cool beats in there.

Go away Melonhead, we know you advertise here
> Radiohead, the most hyped and probably the most over-rated band of the decade, upped the ante for studio trickery. They had begun as third-rate disciples of the Smiths, and albums such as Pablo Honey (1993) and The Bends (1995) that were cauldrons of Brit-pop cliches. Then OK Computer (1997) happened and the word "chic" took on a new meaning. The album was a masterpiece of faux avantgarde (of pretending to be avantgarde while playing mellow pop music).
What did he mean by this?
>>64190054
He meant that Radiohead are, RIGHTFULLY, mind you, overrated, cliché, and tricking listeners into thinking what they're consuming is on the edge of rock as we know it.
He says that they havent experimented with music and that they just make pop with good studio production.Retarded IMO
all of that is correct but it is worth noting that OKC isn't really pretending to be anything more complex than mellow pop music, the fans gave it that significance

How do you guys keep it up? I've been playing for about 10 years and I until about a year ago, I was able to just sit around and play to music by ear or make up random stuff and it always sounded good. Now I'm getting bored of everything, not just what I play but all the music I listen to sounds boring and lifeless to me. I still have a deep love for guitar and music in general but the spark isn't there like it used to be.
What do I do? Should I just kill myself now?
probably just kill yourself desu.
if you havn't learned theory, that would open up new dimensions for the music you make and a different appreciation for the music you listen to.
>>64189996
I already did that when I was starting off. I'm really good and used to always get people saying stuff like "holy shit was that you? I thought it was a cd" and have even had people tell me I'm the best guitarist they know and constantly get offers to be in bands.
It all just kinda shut off around last summer though
you just need to find inspiration. My guitar playing was stagnating a bit in college because of all my studying (stem fag). But I took jazz guitar to fulfill an elective and started listening to a lot more music. I learned scales and I've been writing lots of new stuff.
Try to not sound good, try writing experimental or noise rock to mix things up, I dunno.
I don't know what inspires you. I would tell you if I knew what it was.
I am genuinely in love with Anne Frank. She was beautiful and graceful young woman who light was snuffed ou too early.
I frequently fantasize about being Peter van Pels hiding with her.
Oh god, just imagine deflowering that sweet girl on a lazy Amsterdam afternoon, lying and learn what each other's bodies were for.
Now imagine nine months later, she's got a massive bulging stomach from carrying your child inside of her and it seems like she’s gonna pop any moment now. Her popped belly button makes it look like she's got a giant third boob...

Metalheads because they act the most elite out of anyone. All their shit sounds the same, and yet whenever something comes out, there are thousands of people saying that it's not true metal.

The video appropriates and trivializes egyptian culture. Katy Perry cruelly flaunts her white privilege in a way which is specially problematic the light of recent disturbances in Egypt
I can't decide if he was a gigantic turbopleb novelty pop metal playgirl model or a master patrician in total control of his audience that used cheese as a weapon.
