>>64164604
Wasn't The Terror mostly Wayne? Anyway, I'm getting really tired of his shit, would rather have some more Drozd in my life tbqh.
Plebeian: Steve
Contrarian: Wayne
Patrician: Michael
>>64164646
I assumed it was mostly Drozd
How does one develop "taste?"
Listen to a lot of music
>>64164601
And have an emotional life.
Listen to music. Listen to music like the music you like. Continue branching out. Get suggestions from other music fans.
How did nightcore come into existence? Why do people listen to it? I don't understand this at all.
>>64164458
It's popular too. Just look at those youtube playlist chatroom type websites. They're always some of the most popular. Why hate it? Embrace the love!
>>64164458
Why do people listen to anything

>tfw there are hundreds of God-Tier albums just waiting to be discovered
Take pic related and Long Season for example. They were virtually unknown until 5-6 years ago when they started to blow up massively on RYM. I get giddy at the possibility of someone discovering another masterpiece sometime soon.
>>64164201
>Long Season
still don't get the appeal of this desu
>>64164201
It could be you! Hunt around extensively and bring the best to /mu/.
>>64164378
Yes. Maybe you can spark the birth of a new meme album.
Where do I start with making music? I don't know shit about anything.
I wanted to make something like this: https://youtu.be/KHhpFGmmUMU?t=1m24s
But I don't know what program to use, how to use it, but i'm willing to learn.
ableton is your best bet.
it's a slow process, there is so much to learn about basic theory + how to make shit sound good. good luck though.
>>64163968
I already know music theory because I took a piano course when I was young, so that won't be a problem. I'll dedicate some time to learn it, thanks mate
I don't just get a decent program like fl studio. Just keep experimenting until you make something good. Remember music is all about pattern and structure. Literally anyone can make music.
>>64163968
>thinking knowing theory means you could make music
What are your thoughts on this album?
dont die on me!
Amazing record, a complete turning point for their sound. That said; 'Second Toughest' is still the more superior, better-polished product. Still, Dub is fucking great.
>>64164017
thanks for the feedback anon appreciate it
This is a joke right? Because I can't fathom how anyone could even consider this real music.
>real music
kys
it bumps in the whip
RIP rashad
I was going to post this in a general that fit, but catalog isn't showing anything I wanna post in so I'll start a new thread for discussion.
I wan't to get everybodies take on defining mixtapes versus albums.
Obviously the definition of mixtape has changed over the years. As of now, I think most people can agree it is a "free" compilation of music.
To me, if it is less than 8 songs, I call it an EP and usually just leave it at that.
If I got it off a free mixtape source, or wherever they may have given it for "free"...

Rappers are lazy, if they make a good mixtape then realize it after it starts getting attention. Rappers can just remove it from free sources and put it straight on itunes, Spotify and Tidal. Rappers like getting paid just like everyone else.
Hence drake calling "If You're Reading this..." as a paid for mixtape.
>>64163875
>as a paid for mixtape.
Its that exactly making these definitions useless.
Are other generes like this? I listen to other genres, but don't follow new releases like I do for hip-hop.
the way i see it is:
a collection of various songs an artist has made = mixtape
a cohesive project that has a recognizable sound, feel, or atmosphere that an artist works hard on = album
this is a little flawed in theory since rappers now put hard work into making a cohesive mixtape but i think it works as a good definition
I, I love the colorful clothes she wears
And she's already working on my brain
I, I only looked in her eyes
But I think of something I just can't explain.
________________________________________
I bet I know what she's like
And I can feel how right she'd be for me
It's weird, how she comes in so strong
And I wonder what she's pickin up from me?
OR
I-I love the colorful clothes she wears
And the way the sunlight plays upon her hair
I hear the sound of a gentle word
On the wind that lifts her perfume...
