What does /mu/ think about Grateful Dead?
First time i tried listening to it, i just thought that why the fuck do people think this is so special? Sounds just like country/bluegrass or something, nothing special. And what the fuck does this shit have to do with psychedelics anyway?
Then i dropped 360ug of lsd and happened to have the grateful dead album American Beauty open on spotify. Well i put that playing and man i was just tripping balls and dancing naked listening to that album on repeat for like 2-3 hours or something. That trip changed my life :D

I love the Grateful Dead. Especially Europe 72. China Cat Sunflower is one of my favorites. To me, they make me feel open free and lucid. But they are somewhat of a tease because they don't always sync up just right, but when they do, sometimes their flow just catches your brain off in a daze at random and its spectacular. Hard to explain what makes them special.
>tripping to Grateful Dead studio albums
You're doing it wrong bruh.

I know that the live shit is where its at but the albums are not bad either :)

BACK INTO THE HOLE WHERE I WAS BORN
Noel lyrics were really bad on Be Here Now

I used to be really into pretty much every essential emo band until I started going to college. By then my life was starting to get on track and I found the really depressing music and lyrics to be too much of a detriment to my enjoyment of the actual pieces of music. I still can appreciate emo albums for what they are and their value, but I can't find myself enjoying any of it without the intentional shitty...

I like Joyce Manor a lot. I almost saw them in LA.
For me, probably christian rock / emo
I was really into bands like Copeland, Mae, Waking Ashland, Augustana. Now I listen to more pitchforky bands, but I still reminisce on simpler times.
Rock music in general. I used to be huuuge into pink floyd etc. and now I find myself listening to hip hop and folk music?
Hey /mu/ I have been learning guitar for around 3 months now, do you have any decently difficult songs I should learn
have you learned all the songs you enjoy listening to already?

Zaireeka is their best album
I used to love them, but I can't deal with Wayne's midlife crisis.
In the 90s-mid 2000s they were 8/10
Now they're 4/10
Any songs like the Fanboy-Chum chum opening?
Its so fucking good, I've been listening to it on repeat for fucking hours.

"Musicians" who should never have had a career

>Musicians I've never heard
Sunday Bloody Sunday is a legitimately good song and Where the Streets Have No Name is okay I guess. There are much worse bands than U2, and much more annoying musicians than Bono.

For example, X Ambassadors.
