>have to literally listen to music in another language to avoid the obvious leftist political agenda

TPAB. I hear he recorded the whole thing with samples of white tears.
ITT: Albums you thought were jokes that turned out to be really good
I always thought Devo were le quirky hat men, but this is actually fucking amazing.

>I always thought Devo were le quirky hat men, but this is actually fucking amazing.
This is the reaction anyone has to actually listening to a Devo album.
>>64221190
This! When I was a teenager, I bought Devo's greatest hits used for like 6 bucks at a record store for 'Whip it' lulz
It had 'we're through being cool' on it and that is the song that switched me from Deftones/Korn teen angst shit (i was 13 relax) to full on elitist punk rock
When I finally got Are We Not Men I was floored. I've listened to this album at least 25 times a year since I got it. They are god tier lyrically, musically and conceptually.
It's still 'jokey' but this album/band is god
is Sterling Morrison the most underrated member of a relevant member ever? no one ever talks about him, its always between Lou and Cale, even Moe has her piece of cake, but Sterling is always in the shadow. thats a shame because he's my favorite member of TVU.
what do you think about him /mu/?
>>64221162
Did he ever have a solo LP?
Even Moe "The Time for A New Hitler is Now" Tucker had a couple.
probably not - Sterling was trying to be cool and great all the time, but surely there is some a little bit more useful total side show duder in another band
Angus Maclise was the best member of The Velvet Underground.
You can only be the tampon baby for one of them. Which do you pick?
Tinashe easy senpai
lauren is shit and bork is old
>>64221236 is the only true answer
bjork is too old and used up I don't think she needs tampons no more
Post music that makes your dick hard, No homo.
I'd go homo for Slint anytime they wanted
>>64221110

These songs are dense. It sounded like I was listening to tri repetae era Autechre in some of them.
>>64221062

Why wasn't Scott Weiland more famous?
>>64221035
JUST
>>64221035
Because he was a fucking junkie whose life slowly deteriorated for the past 20 years?
>>64221035
Timing. Wasn't as good as his contemporaries, band he got famous with was kind of shitty. Then drugs.
What're your thoughts on the songs of the motherland?
Pre-revolution Russia was great. Post-revolution Russia was crippling. Al the best composers fled and Shosti was limited.
In terms of their rock music, Kino was ok. Akwarium is ok too. There are some underground bands that are really good, but barely any of them broke into the mainstream.
