I think that Soundtracks for the Blind has better high points and is more engaging both thematically and lyrically. 8.5
Seer is more musically consistent, fewer songs feel like filler and has a more pervasive atmosphere. Bigger and darker sound overall more cohesive. 8.
I've only given each a quick listen so my opinion isn't yet fully formed.
What does /mu/ think?
SFTB > TBK > The Seer > My Father
>>64236835
Why do you feel this way?
>>64236800
STFB>TBK>The Seer
Top 3 Swans records is like actually fucking obvious if you've listened to their discog enough. I think after that though it gets a little harder to say (especially if you include live records which can genuinely go toe to toe with a lot of the studio albums)
Hey, /mu/. I'm about to buy my first bass guitar. Any tips or recommendations?
Buy used.
>>64237650
this. get a CV or VM squier, those things are good for the price. also i'd go P bass for 1st bass
get a rickenbacker. sure it's expensive, but that'll be motivation to practice and get good at it.
Is Prince now "The Artist Formerly Known As Alive"?

He's running on fumes
Please, God. This year you've taken two of my favorite artists and fashion icons. Please, in exchange for all this sacrifice, take Adam Levine next. I don't know why you've decided to start taking people, but please, if the bloodshed is going to continue then do me just this one favor. amen.
There's plenty of artists that deserve it more than Adam Levine. This just seems like envy, which is a sin.

You're out of luck. None of their other albums have the same sound

I like Let Down, I was exaggerating a bit. I just want more Radiohead that sounds like Airbag
hey /mu/, first or second time coming here.
educate me on patrician music. i know everyone has their favourite genres and artists so feel free to post top-tier music of that genre/ artist as well without shitting on others' opinion.
also get me up to speed on patrician edm, i feel like a fucking grandpa not knowing what normies listen to these days
patrician isn't a genre, it's an attitude towards music
>>64236442
thats what i said
>>64236442
This is true, but you don't understand it. Patricianhood is pursuit of works that took more and more talent to create. Here on /mu/ and everywhere else, universal is the trend downwards, not upwards -- the trend to degenerate each other's standards by mutual conviction that 'rap', 'jazz', 'electronic', 'noise', the exact labels don't matter, take their individual special brand of talent. The egalitarian drive not unrelated to racial egalitarianism in politics,...

Someone said that to me as well. He then put on some retarded death metal to prove the point. What a crock of shit. It's amazing how stupid metal babbies are

When this showed up the other day, I didn't want to believe it. But it was true. AIDS killed Prince, and it's the fault of that stupid fucking cult the Jehovah's Witnesses.
