If dubs Elton John is the next to go
The most worthless and meaningless major 'star' in history. Fucking hack.
Did you like this album? I like it a lot but I've heard it's polarizing. I definitely think it's eclipsed by Hesitation Marks when it comes to post-The Fragile NIN though.
Not trolling here.
What's so appealing about NIN? I like the instrumentation and effects but when Trent starts to sing the whole song goes to shit, he sounds like a fucking boy band singer or something
Is there any industrial rock band with better or no vocals?
It's pretty bland, and the songwriting is mostly inferior to everything that came before and after it
With that being said, it's consistently good throughout, it's just that nothing really jumps out at you, aside from maybe right where it belongs
I want to listen to Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks but Ive never listened to any Twin Peaks soundtracks or Xiu Xiu. Where should I start ?
Are you happy that the old artists start dying and soon we will live in a world without dadrock?
Dad rock is a word used by teenagers because they're still in their rebellious phase of wanting to be as different as possible from their parents. This is one of those threads that proves /mu/ is almost entirely underage
ITT: Who's next
>only one member is named after an animal
why is this allowed /mu/?
>anyone can die at any time
Music for this feel?
your daily favorite dystopian rump-of-the-century ironic/post-ironic neon/pastel aesthetic/music thread... today.
>yfw you die the same day as prince so nobody will even come to ur funeral
>On numerous occasions, Prince has refused Yankovic permission to record parodies of his songs. Yankovic has stated in interviews that he has "approached him every few years [to] see if he's lightened up." Yankovic related one story where, before the American Music Awards where he and Prince were assigned to sit in the same row, he got a telegram from Prince's lawyers, demanding he not make eye contact with the artist.
SOAD anyone? I like streamline, aerials, chop suey, soldier side, holy mountains, tentative, dreaming, lonely day (kind of a meme song though), B.Y.O.B, sad statue, lost in hollywood. does anyone else like SOAD?
ITT: Great albums /mu/ never discusses.
>Five classic 10/10 albums
>Played 23 instruments
>Writes all his songs
>Records/produces all his albums
>Invented the remix single
>Mixes all his albums
>Can play various genres of music
ITT: we discuss how Prince was the greatest musician and flyest mothafucka of all time.
Was the Ketchup Song by Las Ketchup the best pop single of the 2000s?
ITT: describe an album you'd like to hear and other people reply with albums that fit that description
>black and white cover
>cozy electric piano sounds
