ITT: musicians whose death would genuinely affect you
I don't mean "aw, that's such a shame, he was a legend" (Prince). I mean you'd be devastated.
thread already exists senpai

Ah fuck
Why the fuck would I ever be devastated over the death of somebody who I don't even personally know? What a stupid fucking question. Kill yourself you cry baby faggot.
>entire album is extremely intense and noisey
>last track is a calm acoustic song

Hey /mu/, today I would like to share with you guys an original story that will not disappoint.
>be me, 6 years ago
>14 years old, in 8th grade
>theres a kid in my english and math classes with mild aspergers, hes what you would call a 'high functioning autist'
>aptly nicknamed by the other kids 'fedora kid' because he always wore a fedora
>hes the type of kid that rides his bike to and from school...

>the next time in class he asks me about it, I tell him that I broke the CD and that Id make it up to him
>he has an autism attack, starts wailing at me trying to punch me in the chest
>I just extend my arm out to him so he doesnt get too close
>his fedora falls off of his head onto the ground in his fit of rage
>i savor the moment by picking up his fedora, putting it on my head and flailing my arms about saying "look...

You can believe what you wish, but I have no reason to lie. How would I even make the story up? Its not that unbelievable

Hey /mu/,
I find the music in this video (meant to be creepypasta) strangely appealing
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLy-AwdCOmI
I never ventured past level 3 so far though (pls be gentle), so I have no idea how to find stuff similar to it
What genre would you assign this to, /mu/?
Some sort of ambient?
>What genre would you assign this to, /mu/?
There is no specific, singular genre to classify this.
>Some sort of ambient?
No.
>>64244338
>I never ventured past level 3 so far though
how is that even possible if you actively listen to music
>>64244338
how have you never listened to shoegaze, math rock, industrial, IDM, noise pop, or fucking ambient.
how have you never listened to any experimental music, krautrock, or drone?
holy shit dude listen to all that instead of meme youtube music that's just text2speech vocals over keyboard wankery
So who's next in 2016 death toll?
I say pic related cause someone that looks that bad must be waiting the inevitable

In a pretty incoherent portion of my life I actually prayed to Sufjan Stevens. He never answered.
>>64244116
I actually enjoy listening to music
>You do the kind of stuff that only Prince would sing about
What did they mean by this?

This album is Kanye's 2nd best. Prove me wrong.
In my opinion,
Late Registration > MBDTF > College Dropout > Yeezus > Graduation > 808s
I haven't listened to TLOP.
>>64244087
I personally disagree with most of this. 808s is one of his best imo, and Late Registration is pretty mediocre imo.
>>64244060
you're right about that but you're definitely wrong about what you think his best is
>>64244087
swap yeezus and MBDTF and it's perfect imo
Chelsea Wolfe has become the feminine equivalent to Steven Wilson. Not that the sounds are too comparable, but both started out as relatively introverted, moody songwriters that had a lot of feeling in their work. Both are examples of how much fame and exposure can really fuck with an artist. Compared to the way they both were a few years ago, they both seem like they have bought into the image that everyone adores them by. And who can blame them? Everywhere they conceivably turn, they see people praising them as musical geniuses. I guess it's just disappointing as a listener....

I'm not dissapointed at all. Steven Wilson just put out one of the greatest albums of his career with Hand.Cannot.Erase. Sucks to be you if you enjoyed the Pink Floyd-aping era of his career more, I guess.
Similar case with Chelsea Wolfe; I guess it's getting fashionable to say "she used to be better" on the internet, but I enjoyed Abyss about as much as her previous output.
idk what she did before Abyss but I didn't like Abyss
