Yo post some hardcore bands ya dig! I'll start
Thoughts on this?
Personally my favorite album of all time.
I've really enjoyed some of the more depressing acoustic guitar driven smog songs I've heard but I can't really find a good place to start with the artist.
Any recommendations on where to begin?
I would definitely suggest you listen to his EP Kicking a Couple Around. Those 4 songs are essential Smog. If you want an album recommendation, I suggest you either start with The Doctor Came at Dawn, or Red Apple Falls. Then move on to Wild Love and Julius Caesar. I like the songs Teenage Spaceship and River Guard off of Knock Knock, but the rest of the album isn't my style.
what are some good record labels that you recommend that are good for downloading? some of my favorite labels are youth attack, the flenser, profound lore, cold meat industries, eternal warfare, plan it x. Those are all I could think of at the moment. If you know any more, please let me know so I can check them out! I may download their complete selection if it's a bit smaller and available on what.cd.
>mfw I just bought myself a black North Face jacket
>tfw no spanish garage pop gf
How is he singing well again after sounding like shit for a decade?
Hetfield's voice and Lars' drumming aside, can they ever sound as great as they used to on record again, production-wise?
I really hope the new album doesn't sound like Death Magnetic 2.0, but from clips and teasers it feels like it's heading that way.
Ivy law student here looking for some good work/study concentration instrumental albums that I haven't heard before.
Please post any instrumental albums that you find you can vibe to while maintaining full concentration. I will listen and let you know what I think. Choral is fine, but no discernible vocals please.
listen to Fripp and Eno - Evening Star
Who's better, Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles?
More albums like this, please?
OK, the guys like Stevie Ray Vaughan could play guitar, that's true. But what's the point of doing it over the same I-IV-V progression? What's the matter—why not play something different, like for example Eric Clapton does?
Also, they always look like they're receiving a blowjob while they're playing. Then they come to the mic to sing, pretending they're saying something extremely emotional and wise, and it's all just usual "my bay left me" stuff. In fact, all of it looks like people copying the mannerisms of black musicians...

the blues more or less went to shit the moment whites started playing it. it was a wonderful form of sorrowful expression among negroes because they experience actual hardship worth writing about, but whites couldn't think of anything to actually be sad about so it's just "muh baby left me"
bob dylan did blues okay I guess bc at least his lyrics were dope
>the names p4k puts ahead of brian wilson
>p4k always put baduh near top, same when bowie died
