hey this is pretty good, not cringe at all
>>64392298
wowe. physically repulsed. you done deed it, anon.
I'm really self-conscious about singing at home, with my parents there and all, I usually sing while there's nobody there but mostly I sing while taking these long walks in a forest - sounds weird, I know. But now I kinda reached the point when I should start singing at home - I have some material and I'd like to record myself - it's my only option, really, since I can't afford renting some rehearsal space. The thing is, I think it's going to be embarrassing. I'd like to hear some perspective on this situation.
>>64392237
Go the Will "Shill" Toledo way and ask your parents to borrow your car. Drive somewhere and record inside the car. Great sound isolation and no one will hear you.
That's what I've been doing, my voice is usually pretty shitty so I never wanna record anything or practice when anyone's home
When you look at the big picture it's kinda silly though, the worst thing that can happen is someone thinks you're bad, and even then there are plenty of shitty singers who are successful. You just gotta think of your voice as another instrument
>>64392237
I can relate to this, try singing into a pillow
>desperately want to form a band
>only have experience as a writer and a decent singing voice
>can't play anything
How to go about this, mates? Where can I find the Johnny Marr to my Morrissey?
>>64392208
find your local scene. go to festivals, concerts, etc. you gotta find the people.
force your friends to learn instruments and beat them if they are bad
>>64392285
this honestly

WHAT?
Always see a guitar general on here, are there enough singers around for a singing general? We could critique each other, share exercises and technique tips we've found useful, discuss great singers etc.
Protip: If the D5 hurts, fucking push it out, pussy.
>>64391894
Kek I can barely push out an F4 right now. I think my lowest comfy note is a C#2 so I assume I'm a baritone and I need to figure out my head/mix voice
>>64392121
Oh after looking it up that might actually make me a bass?
I'm a black guy trying to get into music that isn't Rap/Hip Hop
What are some bands similar to Black Sabbath?

It's just an ad. Move on.
>>64391795
I don't understand what you don't get, seemed pretty literal to me
>implying the best artists of all time had friends
what a dumb naive girl
Bonus points for extra feels: explain why
DUDE CHILDHOOD LMAO
>>64391761
I'd rather not explain why. Part of it is nostalgia, part of it is something else.
This album helped me a lot.
Summer of 2013 was the first time I listened to this album, and that summer was the fucking best (I also got laid).
I think the reason this means so much to me is because we used to walk around the countryside a lot, and this album has a very pastoral feel. In fact the cover looks like a place I would have been on one of those days,
why do people still think lana del ray makes good music?
because she do makes good music
Well anon I don't think you'll ever convince Lana Del Rey fans otherwise. You just gotta accept it, a lot of people like a lot of bad shit. Don't get in their way and they won't get in yours. It's kinda sad but it's the world we live in.
I dunno, I just want her to be my mommy
Is golden gal the cuck's national anthem?

Jimi Hendrix is the greatest guitarist of all time. Do you agree with me? Why not?
Hendrix isn't even the best guitarist in The Beatles
Of course
Jimi Hendrex
Of course
Misha Mansoor exists
