Who did it better?
neither
Both are good albums (hate me all you want for calling Coldplay's older output good but it is) but obviously Radiohead because Coldplay sucked the ball sweat off of Radiohead and actually made some good songs starting off.
But I approve this meme
Wrong cover OP
Give me a download link or dropbox to all of the Beatles discography and singles??? I'm in over my head and it's a pian in the ass trying to find good download links and shit. IF anyone has high quality , i'd really appreciate it

What did you guys think of the new Radiohead track?
>>64567983
as an autistic radiohead fan, i can say that i like it more than anything on Tkol (with the exception of maybe separator).
Subpar string arrangement
Subpar chord progression
Subpar melody on Thom's part
solid 8/10

Given that you're on /mu/, you seem like the type of dude who doesn't go to gigs at all
Grimes is a musical goddess. How is she so talented?
>>64567821
Grimes is racially unpure, a degenerate, appropriates Eastern culture, makes vapid pop music, and is a ugly talentless hack.
She looks like a fucking garden gnome lmao.
If you seriously like grimes you need to check your ears.

>She looks like a fucking garden gnome lmao.
You should know, you're dating one.

What does /mu/ think about this album? I can't decide whether i like it or not.
Top3 Radiohead and by far their most creative album
>>64567699
took a bit to grow on me but for sure not as bad as some people make it out to be. It has a few miss moments (Feral, while groovy, is admittedly disposable, and Little by Little still doesn't sit quite right) but the moments that hit rank among the best in Radiohead's entire discography (Bloom, Lotus Flower, Codex, Give Up The Ghost, and Seperator. 5/8 ain't bad).
The B-sides for the album could've replaced/lengthened it a good deal, though. It's a shame they didn't find their own way on.

>took a bit to grow on me
Wait, so...you guys will listen to a song and not know whether or not you liked it until you listen a few more times? That's so weird. Does that carry over into every aspect of your daily life? I can't imagine how hard it must be for people like you to form opinions on things. Like someone asks you if you like the food you're eating and you go, "Gee I dunno, I need to eat it three more times." If you got raped would the experience...

General Jazz thread
I've seen this album posted a few times lately and I'm looking for more like it. Specifically I'm looking for albums that have a unifying theme and sort of tell a story through the music. Any recs?
>>64567477
I feel like I've answered this exact question before...
Blue Note has some good ones. Herbie Hancock's is the most obvious with the songs inspired by a ship's "maiden voyage" and nautical happenings and stuff. Andrew Hill's "Compulsion" is directly inspired by the civil rights movement I think.
Along those lines is one of my favorites: Destinations Unknown by Alex Sipiagin where each of the songs is inspired by some method of travel that Sipiagin has taken in...

I've just ordered a pair of Audio-Technica m50x headphones. I vowed not to listen to Death Grips bottomless pit until they get here. Have I made a good purchase?
>>64567207
Dont listen to this shit.
Nope.
Perfect time for 320 mp3 or lossless anyway.
>>64567262
You're telling me a pair of headphones that cost half as much are better?
When did you realize they were talentless hacks?
when they didn't rip off swans and death grips for this album
>>64567175
They choose to rip off Coldplay instead lmao
about 7 seconds into burn the witch
Has anyone here actually participated in a mosh or similar form of crowd chaos?
i participated in the massive neckbeard buttfuck that was a Death Grips show, last year.
>>64567054
Yeah when I was younger. The most recent being a death grips concert. I wasn't in it at first but I figured "fuck it, it's a death grips concert" and jumped right in. That pit was brutal. The heat was almost unbearable, the amount of bodies pushing and flying over me was dumbfounding, it was a lot of fun.
The other times I was at a kreator/overkill concert and fractured my foot
Another time was at a gojira / Devin Townsend concert where a left with a fractured hand
And then...

Ohh and I forgot, I also saw trash talk with Thomas Pridgen playing drums, that was the wildest pit for sure. The entire concert was a mosh pit. People were hanging off rafters and throwing themselves onto the crowd, just about everyone (including myself) was stage diving, I don't know how I left that pit without any injuries. But that was the most fun I had in a pit.
