what is this
lmao muh failed viral marketing because the album leaked
anything like Sad Sappy Sucker out there? I'd really like some vibes like this.
>>64597630
thanks. this is new for me. great suggestion.
No problem. Also look into Ariel Pink's earlier lo-fi stuff, specifically pic related. Real similar atmosphere but with a bit more catchy pop in the mix.
It's been like 15 years since I first heard this, and I still don't fucking get it. This is on a different plane of music to me, like I don't know if it qualifies as me listening to it because it is like listening to someone hum. Not to mention it's fucking haunting, some of the music puts me in a really weird place, like you are going through old photos in your basement at like 4 in the morning. Then there's Volcano and All Lined up that are bug the living hit out of me, like they violate my fucking brains and insides.
I will never understand Soundtracks...

Let me tell you something.
I've known of Deftones since "Change" came out in 2000, but I never liked them. It was one of those refuse-to-like type of situations. I convinced myself that I hated them, so I wouldn't give them a chance and for years and years I would rage change the song if I even heard them, because I was just like UGH NO DEFTONES. My husband loves them, friends love them, but NO, I just wouldn't. I did slightly like "Sextape" because my husband had put it on a sex playlist he made and I let it slide because in the moment...

>>64596441
check your voicemails nigga
probably in the gay porn section lmao
This album is practically crescendocore but nobody fucking complains about it. Godspeed gets so much shit for using crescendos while everyone praises TBK. But don't get me wrong, I love the shit out of Godspeed and Swans too.
>>64596416
Because most people on /mu/ are basically broken records and have little skill in analyzing music for themselves and instead just spew out the same shit everyone else is saying.
It's not really that crescendocorey though. Swans dynamic shifts tend to be much more sudden than something like Godspeed. They're much less concerned with building an atmosphere through rising sound and whatnot.
>>64596416
GYBE don't get shit for using crescendos. No one does
EITS, GIAA, MONO and TWDY are the ones getting shit, and it's for blatantly being uninspired ripoffs of GYBE and
Mogwai.
Neither Swans nor GYBE are cresendocore by the way.
Can this thread last longer than one fucking day edition
