Where do I start with her /mu/? I usually listen to most inaccessible album with a new artist and then go chronologically. So what album would you say I should start with?
>>64601604
Maybe start with Homogenic or Vespertine, but chronologically is good
>>64601616
thanks I'll check those 2 out. I heard a few singles and was interested. Why does her first album have a bunch of mixes on it?
>>64601604
her first four albums are her best anyway so listen to them in chronological order. Debut, Post, Homogenic, Vespertine are all so solid.
ITT: Personal 10/10s
i grabbed this after you posted it somewhere yesterday and it really is great
Thomas Fehlman is top-tier electronic
What makes this album great?

>>64601364

>>64601457
No i didnt.
I am learning to use pick right now.
But i cant play a song this fast with pick yet.
I am pretty sure the only lowrider he ever owned was a mint green 63 Impala as seen in pictures and confirmed by car registration records.
Why does he say 64 Impala?
In fact are lowriders just a marketing gimmick for NWA?
Back on the first men in black album snoop dogg says "I cruise through the summer in a hummer with tint or dip in a low low but that's just for promo."
By that lyric I would assume he doesn't even like to drive lowriders and he thought nobody would actually listen to the lyrics...
63 what? In terms of construction year or first year of sale?
if the hood is so dangerous why did no one steal it
>>64601321
63 in construction.
It looks different to the 64 model.
>>64601335
It's a meme... My girlfriend is from a place in the phillipines with a higher murder rate than compton and she isn't tough at all... Even mean words can make her cry.
ok senpai, actual real thoughts on pic related?
Absolutely amazing.
Same with Absolution and Black Holes. The Resistance's B-side is phenomenal and Drones has a few gems
Stellar album, possibly my favourite thing MUSE have ever made.
Makes me want to beat Bellamy half to death with fucking Drones.
>>64601241
loved it as a teen, would probably not mind it now either if i relistened to it.
definitely their best work
They deleted everything off of Apple Music.
>>64601163

>>64601067
Don't want to rip off anyone, but I'd like to know how to make such complex music electronically
Thom Yorke is a fucking genius, people. He is the hero of our time, a great Artist with a capital A. He may look like an alcoholic edgelord, but he doesn't give 2 shits because he makes creation with a soul. He creates music that has a meaning, for us, more talented than the rest, numbed down by the expectations of Chads and Staceys. Thom Yorke is the actual king of /mu/ and there can be no other.
Just listen to a fucking Fitter Happier from OKC
>dat anticapitalistic message sung by a non-human
Just listen to the fucking Nude...

literally who?
I've never heard of him, I'll have to check him out. Thanks OP :-D
>>64601053
Yeah baby you know exactly what I am talking about
Since recently I really like to listen to the noise on the radio, between stations.
Does anyone else do this?
never tried, but will later tonight, thanks
>>64600879
I like this youtube guy who uses radio static to contact the dead.
>>64600879
Yup. It's fun to use AM radio to try to find a religious station that doesn't come in well. Sounds like a Godspeed or Silver Mt Zion intro.

>Nirvana overnight sensations
>Radiohead bringing innovative ideas
>The west-east hip hop conflict
Regardless of what you think about the music the 90's was the most exciting time for it in general
>>64600697
No now is.
>>64600702
How? All we're doing is building on foundations atm
beatlemania, elvis, and woodstock were much more exciting highlights of their respective eras than all of that (except for i suppose arguably everything radiohead brought to to the table yeah)
Is hlp hop electronic (dance) music?
>>64600617
No
What made you think that?
>>64600801
Yes
What made you not think that?
>>64600801
its electronic
(its being danced to)
its music
Apart from Kid A, which I happen to like, why are Radiohead's album covers so shit?
The music's good, can't they take the time to slap a decent album cover on it? OK Computer is an excellent album, but the cover is just atrocious.
I think The Bends cover is pretty cool
/thread
>>64600465
Amnesiac, In Rainbows, Kid A, The Bends, and (arguably) OK Computer's covers are all decent, some of them quite nice (my personal favorites being In Rainbows and Amnesiac).
It's also most probably an active decision by the band to make their album art a lot less initially appealing than the typical album cover so as to indicate to people that their albums are different.
>there are people on /mu/ who still think music has the right to children is better than this
shut up nigger
