Do you have that one album you can't get over /mu/? One that stops you from getting into the rest of an artist's discog?
I've heard most of Low's other stuff and I don't even think it's bad or anything, but whenever I'm in the mood to listen to them this is the one I always reach for. Anyone else know this feel?
This. Wish they're other albums were as industrial and gritty as this one
I know exactly what you mean but I can't for the life of me think of an artist like that for me. Maybe Nas. Whenever I feel like listening to him I usually just put on Illmatic despite liking quite a few of his albums.
Have you heard these guys, by the way?
All the other albums I tried just feel so incomplete compared, this album goes everywhere
Human After All is the best Daft Punk album
Help me appreciate metal.
The main genres I listen to are hip hop, reggae, and funk.
I also listen to a little bit of punk rock such as pennywise sometimes.
How come I have never heard a metal song I enjoy? It's all just annoying noises that literally give me headaches...
However I believe it's ignorant to say a whole genre is crap.
For example there is lots of really crap country music but there is Johnny Cash.
Show me some good metal that wont make me want to rip my ears off to avoid the pain of hearing it.
So, last week me & one of fem co-workers were talking music. She threw this point: if you had experience of being in a relationship you would have a better chance to get into songs about love, romance and break-ups, otherwise you just won`t get it.
What do you think?
>inb4 tfw no gf, yes
What's your favorite Led Zeppelin album mu?
ITT GOAT Albums
Should I dump her, /mu/?
what did he mean by this?
How many gigabytes is your music collection?
What's your favorite part of this album?
I haven't personally heard the whole thing, but from what I have heard my favorite part is
> When the sad piano line starts playing as he raps this part on Power
> At the end of the day, god damn it I’m killing this shit
I know damn well y’all feeling this shit
I don’t need your pussy, bitch, I’m on my own dick
I ain’t gotta power trip, who you going home with
Forgive me for fucking up the green text, I can't even do that right baka
I really like a few of his songs: Dead Body Disposal, Death Rap, Human Consumption.
Can't say i'm a big fan though.
great beats on his older albums. went to metal riffs on later stuff and it sucks.
lyrics are mostly pretty cringe-y tho. seen him live too, was ok.
"I listen to all kinds of music!"
>top 100 is 99 rock albums and Music for 18 Musicians
Lmao. I know what you mean. Definitely have met too many of these people. Though these people annoy the shit out of me, I don't really trash on them until they try to say any of that music's the "best" music. That's usually the metalheads4lyfe group.
this is boring
I've been a big Can fan for years and I really adore their music, but I have trouble getting into Neu!, Ash Ra Tempel,...
I've read that Krautrock took it's influences from modern classical and free jazz (which is very evident in Can records) but I can't hear those influences on Neu!, Ash Ra Tempel or Amon Duul II albums. They sound like random drony noodling with wah pedals and steady 4/4 beats. What am I missing?
Neu! is just Neu! dude. They're not super intellectual. The guy who is still alive has said that he figures one note is better than 2,3,4,x. Deepest thing I heard him say.
I've only heard Ash Ra's first album which just sounds like if Klaus Schulze's Irrlicht was Voodoo Child.
I hear the later Ashra stuff is a precursor to Manuel Göttsching's solo stuff like E2-E4, which I love - basically techno b4 techno.
>random drony noodling
Okay well Amon Duul...
