Oh boy oh boy, if the Kanye can go from that to what he is now then I wont give up either!
What is his best song?

My sister and my brother keep in touch with me
But who can blame them
But who can blame them
the one where he sings about sadness over a minimalist beat
ITT: Music that gives you goosebumps.

Ok, you start.
>>65107647
Oh, I'm sorry, OP here. You must have misread when I said "music that gives you goosebumps", the point was that you're supposed to post music that give you, personally, goosebumps. Not try and figure out what pretentious twats like.

"I've seldom ever heard a British band that I found listenable. In my opinion, the British should just stop trying to play rock-and-roll altogether."
he's got a point
>Oasis is the epitome of British rock and roll
>whiney acoustic pop rock ballad crap for 10 year old girls
>>65107166
Literally couldn't be more correct. The major British musical accomplishment of the 20th century was to make rock more palatable to white American audiences
So it's been out for more than two weeks now. Have your initial opinions changed?
>>65106931
Nah, it's still a strong 9/10 for me
>>65106931
Nah, it's still a strong 4/10 for me
nah it's still a boring/10
i've been playing bass for years, it's been nice because you can always be in a band when you're a decent bassist. i can read music and play a few different styles well
but recently i moved to a new city and i don't really know anyone, so i want to learn guitar so i can make music by myself.
advice from anyone else who's made the transition? good starter guitars? do i need lessons or can i mostly teach myself off the internet?
thx /mu/
>>65106926
If you wanna play in a band you should be good at whatever instrument you play.
As for your question, I have no idea.
How can someone play bass for so long but be such a bitch about just picking up a goddamn guitar? Just find one that feels comfortable. you probably already know some chord shapes right? I mean, how brain dead are you?
It depends on the price.
If you can play bass you can probably figure out guitar on your own just look up basic chords and shit.
Every song on this sounds the same
>>65106922
By "same" you meant every song is 10/10 right?
2 is so much better
>>65106922
mac is a hack but his music is nice, it's kinda funny when people call him innovative though lmao

give it a rest for like a month and youll start missing it

Right there.
i miss her

Making a new album.
Thoughts on prog? I personally love it. Especially Opeth
prog metal is a very mixed bag
>>65106741
Agreed, it can be very hit or miss.
Most prog metal's pretty awful. Full of bands like Opeth and Dream Theater that cater more to ADD as fuck guys who want "variety" rather than making good music which actually does a fine job of exploring the ideas it presents without meandering too much.
Check out some maudlin of the Well, Kayo Dot, Queensryche, and Stargazer they are actually good prog metal. I guess the new Vektor's pretty good, too.
Also maybe check out bands like Demilich or Deathspell Omega who don't get the prog label because they don't sound directly like the...

Listened to it for the first time the other day and it was beautiful. I need to give it another go soon
Huge fan here. First song I ever heard by her was Cosmia, thought it was awful because I couldn't get past the vocals. Fortunately something clicked eventually and she's been my favourite artists for over five years now. How is it being exposed to her for the first time, if that's your case, OP?
>everyone credits these faggots for "inventing" noise rock/punk
>Black Monk Time came out a year before TVU's first album
what gives? why are The Monks robbed of their rightful acclaim?
>>65106617
andy warhol hype transcends the linearity of time
Nobody credits theme for punk though. That always goes to The Sonics. They do credit them for noise rock/drone stuff though, which makes sense.
looks fine to me
So anyone else getting pretty fucking hype over this?
What did you guys think of Gods in Heat?
Bad Fuckin' Times?
Also anyone else confused as if we're just getting this Tobacco album or a Black Moth Super Rainbow album as well?
With the description of SeeFu Lilac and then this information about Sweatbox Dynasty I don't know what to think
