Let's bullshit about the future a little bit. What is the next trend/artist about to blow up (i.e. the next tropical house, dancehall, etc.)? Pic unrelated

This definitely deserves a BUMP.
I have great hope for this album, judging by the description and the single. I feel like it will capture the style of Skeletal Lamping/False Priest while bringing back the light, cheery tone of early oM.
The music is good but, again Kevin Barnes pushing leftist agendas. I don't think some artists should get involved.
I understand he acts camp as fuck and it's expected but jeez.
It's great and a grower. That synth hook's insane. That guitar's definitely talking heads-inspired. high hopes desu

it works desu (and he has a point u know)
I don't get what makes this album special other than the fact that he died.
Wait a year and listen again, eventually things will make sense
Haven't listened to Bryter Later, but the near lack of string arrangements on Pink Moon makes it very, lack of a less overused word, intimate and soul-bearing even without the morbid association.
It's really pretty.

it sounds like shes putting on that affectation even more now, which is annoying. sounds more gimmick-y imo.
How do producers like Madlib find such great samples from random old songs??

Will sharing obscure pieces of music with people that would otherwise scarcely discover said pieces make said people like me?
I ask because I've a wealth of obscure finds that through a maternal like possession I've neglected to share with anyone.
Further, why do you, reader, share music with others? I don't mind sharing my favorite films with others, but, music being my foremost passion, I'm much more reticent to share anything obscure, particularly if it's music that I like.
It depends on the people you share said pieces and what kind of music it is. Every single person in the world have their own different opinions and views on it, and every kind of music makes itself in it's own way unique. If you really want to share said pieces to people then do it. If you don't want to, then don't.
I like to share my own list of obscure artists and songs to my friends because I'm always highly interested in whatever opinion they have about it. Their opinions and perspectives are always highly interesting to me and gives me an understanding...

Your situation is kinda weird, it's not like you're losing it once you share it.
I hate to be called "hipster" or "alternative" for listening "obscure" music that is't hipster or alternative anyway.

>I like to share my own list of obscure artists and songs to my friends because I'm always highly interested in whatever opinion they have about it
I tend to forget that others have opinions of their own and aren't necessarily bound to mine. I suppose I often forget that, somehow.
That's an interesting motive, though. Are there any recent shares that they particularly enjoyed?

So, why does mu hate this?
Is it just because fantango liked it?
Is it because it's really catchy and way simplier than other jazz albums? Is that even such a bad thing?
Why do you think people who like jazz hate Kenny G?
Because kamasi is a hack. I could probably play what he does and I haven't touched my sax in over a year
