I've been listening to a lot of Henry Flynt lately. Is anyone else a fan? Someone just shared a partial discography in the sharethread if anyone wants to check out his work. For those who have heard him before, what's your favorite piece? What other drone artists do you enjoy? Discuss!
You guys are missing out
One last bump
I've listened to some Harold Budd, Sunn O))) and Fuck Buttons, I might check this guy out, what's a good album OP???

Why foobar? What sets it apart?
This song is so fucking bad. Why would they choose the worst song on AMSP to promote the album?
Tinker Tailor is worse
it's just music for 18 musicians but a pop song

The Glowing Man
I'm looking for an album I forgot the name and artist of.
The two things I'm most sure about are the genre and the cover.
It was instrumental psychedelic music, or at least the album started out just instrumental. You might call it "classical." Like easy-going, trippy sounding music being produced by at least mostly classical instruments.
The cover depicted a field, I believe a painting of a yellow/brown-ish field, maybe of wheat. There was some other aspect harshly clashing with the field, placed in it. If I remember correctly, it was...

Thanks for the effort, but no. It was very mellow, soft music. Nothing harsh about it.
Albums that aged surprisingly well
Eh... for every great song on there like the first three, there's another piece of cheesy, jive trash. Innervisions is probably a better example, Stevie really squandered his talent on Key of Life.
Let's have a thread to respect the works and contributions of Phil and Geneviève.
Discuss albums, performances, artwork, written works, etc.

Excellent site that has a lot of Phil bootlegs and early cassette tapes. I've just been listening to his earliest release as The Microphones (Microphone). It has some great tracks that not probably many people would have heard. I like the track "Ready To Attack", the later part of the song sounds very Beck inspired.

thank you for this thread.
i've always loved this track with phil and genevieve together

I just listened to that album too, didn't realise Genevieve sung on it. I know he has worked with different choirs and singers on his songs, but I haven't really looked into who features on each song. Thanks!

He's built his entire career off of being a "real" criminal. You cucks won't actually be shocked if he goes to prison, right?

for what?
I loving the death grab! It my favourite rapping band. There are 4 band member. There is a singer, Microphone Ride, Hella drum dude, and the Matrix. Fourth band member is Anthony Fantano!
Their new album, the bottomless pit, is amaze! It have great song such as Spike spike spike spike spike, giving a bad idea, and ring the bell.
Their old album are a good too you see. There is the dollar shop, former military, and the government. I'm sure you've seen the footage, and avoided the noid!
Overall, dead grip is a great musical.
I'VE SEEN FOOTAGE
Who's the back up vocals in Birds? That doesn't sound like MC ride. Is that Anthony Mandingo?
i know this a joke but I wish I could enjoy things like the characature in the OP
do you like this?
