He still has his shortcomings and chaotic whims, and the Tirek debacle might have gone less painlessly had he fulfilled his accepted task. Then again, had he done so, the box from the Tree of Harmony might have remained a mystery for some time, despite the keys collected. Just how Discord know that he doesn't let on about? I think he likes the company. Being chaotic might be fun for him but the only one who likes all the insane uncontrolled chaos he makes is himself. His original redemption felt poor to me, but the one in the season 4 finale felt far more genuine.
As of now I believe he likes being able to do a mild amount of whatever while having all these other beings to interact with. Less chaos, but a lot more unique interactions that aren't just things he conjures up himself. Without him being betrayed in season 4 finale he'd have never understood how important it is to have trustworthy friends who give a damn.
Sure he's always making sly faces and talking in a very specific manner, but that's just how he is. It was nice seeing him interact with the others without them treating him poorly since he does seem to try to fit in, but I also liked that they all don't just always consider him perfect. Like when he hugged them at the end of the episode? He wasn't pretending to try and play nice. It was a genuine hug. He had a better time with them than against them.
Him and Flutters are one of the few if only pairings I'd not mind becoming canon. Beauty and the Beast sorta thing.

All the songs were great but Coal For Christmas was shit.
Most of the songs were 8/10 or higher for Christmas songs except that one was about a 4.
The song actually gets more boring as it goes on.
The others are much easier to listen to in the background and won't grow tiring as easy.
I'm not sure if it was just the voice or the instruments or even Ingram's lyrics as well but that kind of brought the whole album down a point because the rest was so well polished then you get that turd right before the best songs start. I think by the time that song was finished Daniel realized what a turd it was so he put it at no. 7 intentionally because it was far in enough you knew the whole album was good except this one and the ones after it are the best.

My favorites in order.
I can't decide if I liked Fluttershys or AJs song more. I think AJ wins out a bit because it feels completely natural. Some parts of Fluttershys don't sound or feel right I guess? Maybe cause I'm so used to the normal Silent Night. I don't see why heavenly would need to be changed though. AJ said heaven in a recent episode didn't she? Flutters voice is so damned pretty and AJs song is really touching with them singing a song in honor of their parents.
Spikes was really good and catchy and they thankfully didn't have him fumbling about like a moron. Surprised how much I like it.
I'm not sure exactly why but I really liked RD's Jingle Bells. Maybe cause I wasn't sure what to expect from it? Her going around getting her friends for a holiday sleigh ride was nice.
A sort of gray area is Pinkies song. I don't hate it. I think Pinkie singing the 12 days of Christmas is a perfect fit. I just really don't see the point of changing so many of the things. Bowl of ravioli, really? The things in the song are rather random enough as is. Perhaps if the things she was singing about were different or better it'd fit. Like, why not Five Best Friiiiiends?
The rest were good but nothing that truly stuck out to me. Not bad and I like listening to them so they're at least 7/10, but the ones I listed were my favorites.
