I believe much like their /fit/, /lit/, and other cousins they have fat hate threads, is god real debates, anti-femanism debates, and much more.

Because the board moves so fast anyone posting on the board has to be able to have something eye catching or fun otherwise it gets pruned.

Just saying....if you measure a boards success based on users.../b/ is the most successful.

But than again /b/ has no real rules....if /mlp/ had minimal moderation, it would thrive as well.

Regardless /trash/'s very existence shows the weakness in 4chan's moderators. As moot hated furries and wouldn't stand for it, and yet there is a board that supports them.

Either way, lack of moderation's a good thing. /trash/ has a degenerate community, but its community is strong, postings always seem to follow the same format, pony porn, furry porn, fluffy abuse...so smut porn.

You can depend on it to be a degenrate community. When mods spend too much time trying to moderate they establish a dictatorship, deciding what the board will be essentially saying fuck the community a thing that old moot didn't approve of. 4chan was and still is very much a board for people to establish communities. but mostly to be an unashamed degenerate.

All i'm saying in short is, 4chan was made with the idea of little to no moderation, by adding moderation you change the boards identity. Moderation was only to ensure moot didn't get his butthole pounded in prison every time someone posted cp. Mods are SUPPOSED to be 4chans legal defensive measure, not its police force.

And game threads, and shitpost threads, and off-topic threads, etc. Actually, it was created specifically as a place for mods to move off-topic and shitpost threads elsewhere without stirring up the users. It was likely never intended to be used as an actual board.

As I stated previously, /trash/ was most likely never intended to work the way it is now. This doesn't mean it's supported by the staff. It wouldn't make sense to start enforcing arbitrary rules on a board they had made to allow almost any types of threads to be moved to.

For /trash/, which is probably why the mods haven't cracked down on it when people started actually using it like a regular board. It would defeat the purpose of it.
