I'm actually revising the Bon Bob story a bit, this time It's going to follow Lyra mainly. Basically I'm still writing the intro but Lyra gets trapped in a Changeling food pod during the human invasion (Buck Rogers style ) and is reawoken by either Anon or someone else. Now she's basically a fish out of water trying to survive in the man world, while finding her friend.Fluttershy's baby would've been a half pony-earth horse hybrid, with the same level of intelligence like Sloth from the Goonies. Normally in the world I was making, humans and ponies can't procreate naturally but because the government had money and there was science to be had they found a way to unite the sperm and egg. I guess the short answer would be, they were trying to find a way for a human to use magic while creating a more perfect slave. Like I said theirs a resistant movement going on. In this universe, the humans would have allied with a pre-redemption Starlight in conquering Equestria. Twilight in desperate plea, would kill off the majority of humanity's livestock in a bid to stop their campaign. It back fires tremendously, now Starlight is in control banishing anyone to earth if they don't behave. They would either get enslaved, turned into a milk mare, used for entertainment purposes (wink wink) or used as food because you know most cows, pigs and chickens are extinct.

I mean it doesn't take much to push humans to the edge especially a mob of hungry angry ones, just look at us now in recent years we've been romatizing the idea of cannibalism with people eating one another's flesh and with shows like Hannibal. I just had an interesting idea for a story, but I don't think I have time to write it. The ponies make contact with earth accidentally, are almost immediately enslaved. The changeling hives realize their food source is now fucked, and come up with a collective plan to either free the ponies, or just move their hives to the human world. But first, some changeling scouts need to go ahead and learn what its like on the other side, disguised as ponies of course. They purposely get caught and made into slaves to learn as much as they can.
I'm kind of thinking about following one changelings journey through the slaving system as she struggles to maintain her cover as a normal pony.

I wasn't actually intending for there to be an Anon in this story. The story would deal with the changeling dealing with self-identity issues from having to remain someone other then herself for so long, as well as dealing with the awful shit of being a slave, and the fear of being found out at any moment.

Interesting concept. The lack of an Anon could be interesting. The identity thing is more based on headcanon though. My story just has it being sort of a physical illusion kind of thing but they don't actually take on the mind of the pony they want to be, thus making them have ti mimic based on the info the hive has gathered on that pony

With no Anon you do have the issue that this is a board for Anon greens more or less, and that's what audience is interested in. You don't need Anon, but I can't imagine not using him will do you any favors.
This story also relies heavily on the emotional journey of a changeling living as a slave/spy which is, to say the least, ambitious. You'd have to write really damn well to get that concept across and make people care about your characters. I'd also argue that every green at least touches on

so again, I don't see what exactly this brings to the table other than a bit of changeling identity issues, and even then I can't think of a way to make that a compelling concept either.
