Dear Princess Celestia,

Just saw the two episodes and my take on them is this:
1) Spike is still cancer, no matter how obviously FORCED is his spineless self into being the calm and collected voice of reason.
2) Twilight has officially become a caricature of herself, a frantic list-freak with no other personality traits.
3) Celestia and Luna are become MORE AND MORE useless with every season. (No, a scene of shooting beams is not going to make them interesting) Think of this - Shining Armor is more useful than the two of them, SHINING ARMOR!
4) Shining Armor's behaviour in this ep is an excellent window into the soul of every fresh father. A+ for that.
5) I'm not into too mushy stuff, but the damn baby is adorable throughout the whole thing.
6) Cadence's running animation from behind is the most robotic thing I've ever seen. Her lack of any emotion further strenghtens my theory that she has been replaced inbetween season by a mechanical blow up-doll.
7) Starlight and Starburst have no personality whatsoever, but a double episode is not enough to show anything important enough, so I'll reserve judgement for later.
8) The crippling stupidity of the crowd refusing to leave the ceremony plaza is actually perfectly true to life regarding people on these actions.
9) Another problem solved by magic. I don't have issue with that per se, but "randomly" finding somepony with the EXACT answer in basically 5 minutes worth of story arc in the whole double episode is sorta meh.
10) Seriously, by now Big Mac has more personality than Celestia and Luna combined.
All in all - watchable, chuckleworthy in places, crippled by lack of any story. 5/10 basically for not being good in anything, but not being ridiculously bad either.
