Summary:
You are Mango, a Batpony from a small town near Las Pegasus turned vampire by Fierce Fang. After deciding against joining the older and obviously amoral vampire Mango fled both him and a bounty in Las Pegasus caused by her feeding habits. She went to Ponyville, where there are supposedly no Vampires to compete with.
But after divulging her Vampire status to Zecora, the Zebra snitched to Twilight who confronted Mango in the Castle of the Two Sisters.
Caught between a rock and a hard place, Mango tentatively went along with Twilight's plan to send her to infiltrate a group of vampires in Canterlot, though not until she gets help renegotiating the terms of the arrangement thanks to Fluttershy, and joined the Adventurer's Guild to put her powers to lawful use.
She made her way to Canterlot where she found the meeting was about Fierce Fang and his attacks on other Vampires and mortals.
The group of Vampires called themselves the "Council" and seem to be mostly concerned about keeping up a facade that benefits their current lifestyle.
The meetings end with one of the members nearly killed, supposedly by Fang's goons. Fearing that the member was told about Mango's alliance with Twilight, Mango confessed this to June Bug, one of the members Mango had developed a friendship with.
This was taken rather poorly by the other Vampires, but not so much that they harmed Mango, and she left Canterlot for Ponyville by train, feeling alone yet again.
The train experienced a robbery, and despite taking some buckshot, Mango stopped the robbers, and is trying to get the train rolling again.

>You get a cup of water from the beverage cart, though it's in the car behind yours..
>While your there a somewhat shocked mare gives you three meatsticks.
>"You, uh, ordered these earlier. I heard a ruckus, and then what sounded like gunshots, so I hid back here... sorry."
>You then fly back and splash the conductor in the face, waking him fairly quickly.
>"Ah! Who?... AH!"
>He flails a bit, smacking you in the face as he comes to.
>"I told you bastards I ain't got nothing, dammit!"
"Whoa, hey, simmer down. Hitting ponies is rude. I stopped the robbers, I was just trying to get you to get this train moving again."
>"Ah, shit, sorry." he picks himself up and looks around the train.
>"Alright, nothing seems to be too damaged. I can take it from here, miss."

"So, uh, what do you think I should do with the bandits?"
>He harrumphs.
>"If I was a vengeance minded pony I'd say you should just leave them tied up behind the tracks. But I'm a better stallion than that, so tie em up and haul 'em to the caboose. That's where that lazy train Guard is posted anyway."
>So much for being able to relax.

>As the adrenaline wears off more and more your leg wound is getting rather painful. It looks better, and the bleeding has mostly stopped, but you're not sure if you can put much weight on it.
>You pull out a meat stick and chew on it as you decide what to do next, which draws a curious stare from the engineer. You do have a lot of rope, so tieing up the brigands won't be an issue.
>Even now your wings are getting more exercise that they have in years, though that's because you usually just glide from cloud to cloud when flying for any length of time.

Head back and tie them up. Start with the mare we hypnotized since she'll wake up the soonest.
>>
>>26589730
Yeah, tie them up, but keep them on the train. Twilight's guard can deal with them properly when we get to ponyville.
>>
>>26589730
Well flight is pretty vital to a Pegasus or bat we should really workout that part of body more.
Tie up those fuckers nd lets ride to ponyville with main issue with wounds sorted out we have more time to worry about other things.
>>
>>26589730
Also, you got any bodily fluid cleanup kits on the train? Business class got a little bloody.

>You make your way back to your car, going over first class again.
>As you step inside you see that a Pegasus Guard in golden armor is standing near the three robbers, having pulled them together.
>The has a short sword drawn, and is talking to the two Earth Pony criminals.
>The unicorn's gunshot wound is bleeding profusely even with a hasty and soaked bandage applied over it.
>"We ain't saying anything, miss. You can pound sand all ya want."
>"As soon as we get to Ponyville you'll stand for your crimes. I'm trying to help. This stallion has a very good chance of not making it out of this train alive, I just want to know his name..."
>The criminals both just spit at the Guard Mare's hooves derisively, and cross their forelegs.
>You see them carefully eyeing the mare's sword, looking for any opening.

>You notice some of the passengers are staring at you, but the showdown between the Guard and the robbers keep either of the participants from noticing your entrance.
>>
>>26590497
Grab the shotgun and keep them quiet while the guard ties them up.
>>
>>26590599
Nevermind, reverse that so we won't have to explain the bloodbags and since we can prevent them from trying anything funny.
>>
>>26590497
Don't even think about it.
>>
>>26590497
Right it seems guard has got this handled
Sure taking their weps might be good idea but we can't afford ourselves that around guard.
>>
>>26590497
I think the guard can handle things here let's just try to not draw attention to ourselves. Perhaps go to the bathroom and just chill so for a bit while we wait for things to cool down or just take a seat and nap again.

>>26590599
If we can steal it later sure but for now it's time to just ride things out.

>You try to just slip past, and hope that you avoid attention.
>However, you're not so lucky. The Guard notices you, and tracks you with her head.
>"Uh, Ma'am, is that your shotgun?"
>You're about to formulate a response when the mare robber pounces on the inattentive Guard, going after her weapon.
>The Stallion looks surprised, and simply tries to back as far away as he can from the fight.
>The Guard is tackled to the floor, but the mare is unable to do much more than that, and the mare is able to bring her sword down on her assailant.
>Blood sprays across the train as the sword cuts deep.

The guard's fine. She just defended herself.

>The wounds on her back pour blood, and smear against the wall as she tries to scoot away from the Guard.
>You approach the situation, giving the Guard back up with your shotgun pointed at the brigand.
>The Guard lands next to the criminal, and in a soft voice only you and they can hear she says.

"Uh, Miss Guard, ma'am, I have some rope, maybe we should detain them?"

>"Uh, right. That's very helpful, citizen."
>You help her tie them up, and she asks for your help taking them to the caboose.
>On the way, though the coach section, she asks what exactly happened to the robbers.

We had a healing potion?
I hope those are a thing.
>>
>>26596001
Inform her we had something special the princess gave us last time we saw her, but it was a one-use enchantment, and not enough to heal fully, and as soon as we get to ponyville we'll be reporting how well it worked to her over tea and cakes.

Or something like that, I dunno.

I'd say go with the healing potion.

Aww, but don't advancers have the right to loot...legally or something. She could just send it back to the guild as a present afterwards.

We could even pay for it, don't cops usually sell collected property after its been processed and at the station for a few years after anyway, I think they do it in a bidding format.
>>
>>26596690
>>26596712

What exactly did we tell her in the letter?

Because other then fang starting a vampier war and the Council saying they'll work with her anonymously to have a strike team take out fang I can't think of anything.

Yeah. But mention we did it after we thought we could trust them, and it was because we thought it would help.

We need to stop lying someday.
>>
>>26606512
Yeah, there is no real reason to not tell her.
This was a serious situation that needed action before it got worse. Telling them was going to become inevitable anyway.

But I don't want to tell her about how we made friends with some of them and...how intimately connected we are to june.

Tell her that we waited until we knew they could be trusted and we had to make a judgment call because it would be forever until they all got together again and we were running out of time. We could use how they spared the mortal doctor out of respect or moral life as an example of why we trust them.

It was rather upsetting but I think things were fine in the end in fact only two ponies actually know and only one seems like he'll hold it against me so I think they'll forgive in time...I hope.

They said I should have just been direct instead of hiding it and the spying and your methods were rather disrespectful.
>>
>>26606929
They don't all know, but the ones that did weren't happy.
>>
>>26607041
I think our spying was justifiable, given recent events.
>>
>>26607122
Yeah, everything we've done in terms of our spying was understandable, in my opinion.

Patwrite may not see it that way, but we were afraid, and both Twilight and Fang convinced us that these vampires weren't friendly and would try to kill us.
>>
>>26607143
I'm not saying it wasn't reasonable given how we didn't know who we're getting into im just saying how they felt.

>>26606929
Even June agreed that she would have done the same in our situation. We should probably add that not all of them really blame us for it.
>>
>>26607143
Pretty much, yeah. It seemed entirely possible walking into a den of powerful vampires and telling them we were sent by a princess would result in us disappearing.
>>
I'm falling asleep and it's far too early. I'm gonna go get some caffeine, so this next update might be a bit late.

Sorry.
>>
>>26606945
>>26607041
>>26607107
"The ones who know didn't seem very happy."
>"But there was no violence?"
"No, no, nothing like that. One agreed that if she had been in the same boat then she would have done what I did. I think they were upset more at my deception than who I was working for."
>"Yes, I suppose that would be upsetting."

>She takes some of the random papers on her desk and swiftly pulls them into a neat stack with her magic.
>"Well, I was hoping to do this tomorrow, but with all this we might want to go ahead and start the formal debriefing."
>She sighs, sets the stack of papers down and pulls out several others.
>"So, start at the beginning. When you arrived at the address we provided, did you notice anything odd? Who are the members of this council? Is there a hierarchy? Is there a leader? Can we contact the leader if there is one?"
>>
>>26607923
I didn't notice anything odd about the building.
There's a hierarchy in that there's a leader, but beyond that it's mostly just how much the others respect you.
And uh, the leader didn't want me to give you their names.
I'm pretty worried about what he might do if I did.
>>
>>26607923
They wish to remain anonymous.

There isn't really a hierarchy just the oldest riches typically get more respect and they do things as group and don't really have a formal leader and they vote on actions democratically.

For the most part they just want to be left alone, in peace and independent.

But I should be able to establish a mode of contact after some talking.
>>
>>26607923
Since they're so long lived their names are disposable. There isn't set ranks, but seniority is a factor. They'd rather us be the "middleman". They keep "servants" so they wont cause problems or draw attention by hunting.
>>
>>26608069
I don't think we should tell her about the servants part. That might be a cultural thing that might take some time to understand and I think we should wait until relations are a bit more stable.

If she asks about feeding I think it's better to just leave it that they have learned the skill to feed without killing someone for now.
>>
>>26608173
Feeding is an important thing for vampires and showing evidence that they are working to a more civilized way of doing it is a good thing. Also we aren't using the word "cattle" for a reason.
>>
>>26608044
>>26608045
>>26608069
"Uh, well, there's certainly a leader, but he made it pretty clear that I shouldn't tell you their names."
>"What? But... Mango, the whole point of this was for you to collect information!"
"Right, and the info I collected was that unpleasantness would be visited upon me if I told you their names. Anyway, I think they change names quite a bit anyway, being centuries old and all."
>Twilight groans.
"B-but as for the other stuff, I mean there's a bit of hierarchy, I guess. It's all based on your age and reputation though, nothing rigid."
"And, no there wasn't anything special about the meeting place, at least from what I could tell."
>"Well what about feeding? Do they live on bloodpacks like you? You did have enough of those, right? They don't hunt or keep bloodslaves, do they?"
>You don't want to lie, but you're not sure how Twilight might react.
>input action
>>
>>26608299
>>26608212
Well learning how to not kill when feeding sounds like evidence to me also when she understands why fresh blood is important for their health and growth i'd think she'd might understand later.

But with the cattle culture and stuff I think that would be better explained by an older vampire.
Mango doesn't have the best track record for explaining sensitive things is what im getting at.
>>
>>26608299
There is something unsettling about that.

Vampires can't live off bloodpacks alone. They can for a while, just not forever...
>>
>>26608299
I don't want to tell her about cattle.

I think it's best to say they learned how to not kill when feeding and they dress up wounds after. They don't typically need to feed as much because fresh blood keeps them good for weeks or months at a time from what we can tell.
Also the others will get even more mad at us if we tell probably.
>>
>>26608471
Me neither I don't want to tell twilightabout cattle she will probably freakout
>>
>>26608496
Yeah, besides hunting that kills is really frowned upon by them for the most part and those who do that do it for cultural and spiritual reasons. Not that is justified when they've found better ways but it shows why it would still be around.

And I think luna can probably better explain that part then us. Which kinda makes me wonder if twilight hadn't asked her about it...unless luna doesn't want her to know.
Cause she would freak out.

>>26608299
I think we should ask just how much luna has told her about them. Dos she even know about the treaty broken by celestia.
>>
>>26608316
>>26608379
>>26608471
>>26608496
>>26608587
"N-no, of course not. I mean, I guess they kinda hunt, but they're in control enough so that they don't hurt anypony they feed on."
>"Really? Why not use or steal blood packs?"
"Uh, well that's like asking why you don't just eat grass or hay, Princess. It might keep you alive, but it's not good for us. I learned from them that even non-pony blood could get me very sick. Also a meal of fresh blood seems to keep us full longer, so they don't need to hunt often."
>"Interesting... I suppose that's all my questions for now. I know you said that the Vampires want to coordinate some action against Fang, but we are not nearly ready for anything like that."
"Uh, I do have some questions for you though."
>"Do you, now? Well go ahead."
"How much has Luna told you about the Vampires. They told me that they had worked on a treaty with her that Celestia broke when Luna was banished."
>"Ah, yes, that's actually fairly well recorded. Though all my records are from Equestrian Sources, and they paint it in a different light."
>"Luna herself has been, well, rather tight lipped on the subject. She says it takes her to a dark place she doesn't with to revisit.
>"They use Luna's treaty with the Vampires during the Civil War as evidence of her turn to evil before she ever became Nightmare Moon."
>"They just add that Celestia's army hunted down those still loyal to the Nightmare regime, including many Vampires. It was a far more brutal time you see, and there are some questions as to exactly how much control Celestia had over those day to day operations. I would guess it was overeager Guard commanders that ordered the summary executions."
>"Oh, by the way, I heard that that Doctor from the hospital wanted you to stop by again. I asked what it was about, but the told me it was confidential."
>>
>>26608706
I see brutal times indeed..
Well get some rest princess
Let's see what doc wants inb4 more experiments on us
Like hell I'm agreeing to that
>>
Calling it early tonight.
Good night
>>
>>26608706
That's strange because the vampires have no idea what happened with the treaty and the attacks from the crown were out of nowhere. Sounds like another cover up.

Celestia did it to luna's existence so it wouldn't surprise me that she did it to this.

Anyway I guess we can see the doc again some time but I don't want him poking at us anymore. Especially if it's with our organs and stuff.

>>26608747
Agreed mango needs to gain some more backbone and stand up for herself.
>>

Good night OP have sweet dreams.
>>
>>26608706
Confidential to a princess, huh?

Yeah, I'll go see him.
Definitely not agreeing to any of his experiments though.

Also, how much did you hear about the attack? I got practically nothing, and I was there. All I heard was Fang's agents were in Canterlot, and I saw the stake lodged in the victim. Wasn't a pleasant sight.
Did the guards find anything else out?

"Confidential to a Princess?"
>"Well, I could have used royal prerogative to access your records, but I have a good relation with the Hospital, I wasn't going to push them for that. I can wait for the study to be published."
"Hmph, well did you hear anything about the attack in Canterlot, other than from me?"
>"No, I haven't heard a whisper other than your letter. There's been nothing from the Guard about any odd assaults or murders anything. There are a few missing pony reports, but the last attacks had the victims left in public places, so they don't think there's any connection."
"Well, thank you Princess, I guess I'll go stop by the hospital. Get some rest!"
>"Heh, of course, Mango. I, well I don't want to impose, but if we are going to work with the Vampires then I will probably need your assistance again soon, since you're our only contact. I'll contact you at the old castle if I need you, alright?"

>They hover around 2 to 3 thousand bits, so you're not sure you could afford that in the near future, at least not legitimately.
>Of course there are other places to live away from a town...
>Of course, those places might not have plumbing, and you refuse to ever go too long without a shower again.
>It's only been two days since you showered with June.
>That's not so bad...

>You walk into the waiting room in the hospital.
>In a small suburb like this, there's not all that much going on, a few colts and fillies with broken limbs, an old mare with some kind of breathing machine.

From moment we got to ponyville I wanted to find somewhere far from princesses except for maybe Luna but that's about it

What I'm saying is we need to rid ourselves of her grip
Become independent you know
>>
>>26618550
Speaking of cattle. I miss Catty the cattle we had with us. I can't get the idea of dressing her up in a maid outfit and handing her a shotgun out of my head.

I just kinda love the thought of having a shotgun wielding maid at our door watching the house and taking care of our morning time chores.
And scaring off pesky zebra witch doctors on our property.

>You boop the nurse, a bit more forceful than you might have intended.
>Her swivel chair spins and drags her off the desk, spilling her onto the floor.
>"Ah, who!? O-oh... was I asleep?"
"Yeah, I'm here because the doctor sent for me."
>"Uh, who are you?"
"I'm Mango..."
>She waits for a second, as if expecting more.
>"I... I'll look you up."

>After some waiting you're eventually called up and go to a room in the same hallway as last time.
>The nurse says the doctor may take a few minutes, and you don't have much to do. there's several medical posters on the wall, including a diagram of the blood vessels of the three main races of ponies.
>Unicorns and Earth ponies have very similar systems, with just a few differences.
>Pegasi on the other hoof have a unique system, with different red blood cells, and more blood vessels in their lungs.
>You're a bit peeved that Bat ponies aren't on the chart...

>>
>>26618969

>>26618992
>>26619000
>>26619006
"So, what did you find?"
>"Well, it's disappointingly fairly similar to what we expected. There's a lot of magic embedded within your tissue. This has made progress slow. We can tell though, that you have a far higher proportion of dead cells than a normal pony. Infact, your skin and muscles are more like that of a preserved cadaver. There's a lot of the chemical signs of death, and several samples died entirely after being removed from your body, the rest were sustained by magical healing."
>"You said that you seem to regenerate from wounds, and my hypothesis is that your entire body is under the effects of powerful regenerative magic that is stopping decay and doing the healing."
>"We noted that strong magic seems to interfere even with our own healing spells, and suspect that this interference is the basis behind your problems with sunlight. Infact our findings suggest that you should be more vulnerable to disruptive magicks of all kind."
>"But with so few samples left, we're at a wall. We'd like if you could start the anesthetics trials so more invasive biopsies could proceed. We can't do any more biopsies unless we know we can put you under safely."

>You see the mare's face twist, and she stomps a hoof in frustration.
>"What? No, you don't get to tell me how to publish my work. I was gonna help you get food and medical support so that you're not in danger, but I draw a line here. I doubt any of the mouth breathers that would decide to hunt monsters would read medical journals anyway. This is non-negotiable."
>She snorts, then takes a deep breath.
>"I.. I didn't mean to yell, but this work has taken up a lot of my time recently. I'm going to publish what I find, otherwise there's no point in doing any of this. But, I can negotiate different compensation, if you wish."
>>
>>26619415
Because of our bloodlust problems, we'll need the bloodbags to survive. How about using the research to benefit vampires and when it's complete present it in a way that can convince everybody, including Celestia, that we aren't monsters that deserve to be hunted to extinction.
>>
>>26619462
Yeah, having her put a positive emotional spin on this might do good in the long run (We want progress together in peace! or some shit like that), I'm all for the anesthetic test
>>
>>26619415
I think she'd be surprised what a royal decree and a few dedicated monster hunters can do. They're not as dumb as she thinks after all they kind of made this stuff into a profession. Alsos published books.

But what other kinds of compensation are we talking about here?
I'm still leaning towards no though.

Some cash for the moving fund is always nice. Or for one of those sweet bags of holding we got to use.

Look I'm in a tough position there are lot of people looking out there looking to kill me probably seeking that info

>"Oh, uh, that might have been a poor choice in words..."
>"I'm hesitant to mix politics into my work, but honestly, I see what you mean. Biologically you're not that far off from a normal pony, at least as far as I can tell so far, which is minimal. However, if I do find that your biology is in fact very different, I don't think I can maintain that kind of tone."

"Alright, what about the compensation? Cash is nice, but do you have anything like a bag of holding?"
>She scoffs, "Not tonight, but I could pay cash easy. The bloodbags are easily worth 400 bits."
>"If you're dead set on the bag, I could find one, but I don't think the 400 bit ones are much good."
>>
>>26619599
I'd rather take the bloodbags then
>>
>>26619599
She's going to have to face the fact that her work is involved in some major politics whether she wants it to be or not.

And the way things are now it seems that most of this info could a lot of damage. I get her wanting to publish her work but would at least wait to do it during a less dangerous time. Things are going to be very unstable for a long time.

Also what if we payed for the blood bags and she helped with funding for a better bag in exchange for the research.
>>
I'd rather just hunt more bad guys and learn how to get self-control with when feeding then be a guinea pig.

Sadly the crime rate in ponyville is probably low and that would still require prep work.
>>
>>26619677
>>26619800
"I guess the cash is fine for now. Hey, though, if you know where to get those bags, maybe you could hold on to my pay until I have enough for a good one?"
>"Hm, maybe, but those bags aren't hard to get, really. If you take the cash you could save up for it yourself."
"Oh, alright. I guess I'll do the anesthetic test. Guess there's no harm there."
>"Good, good. Come with me to the operating room. I'll hook you to the IV and then the anesthesiologist will come to talk with you. Maybe we can figure out where to start."

>You follow her through the halls into a brightly lit room with a central table. She gestures for you to lie down, and wheels the IV over.
>She finds your vein in one stick, and leaves you hooked up.
>Seconds later a dull looking unicorn stallion enters.
>He asks about your history with drugs, your diet, your average daily exercise and other mundane things.
>"Alright, I think, based on what you've told me, we can start with about the normal dose for a mare of your weight. The treatment is wholly chemical, since we do not fully know how magic could affect you. The evidence suggests that you will need more than usual, and we can increase from there if it proves too little."
>"If we go too much, then our options are more limited. There's always risk. What do you think, Ms. Mango, would you be more comfortable starting lower?"
>>
>>26619892
Let's start lower, and they can add on if it's not enough
>>
>>26619892
Meh, like a little gas could harm us.
Still were not completely immune to things so how about somewhere in the middle.
>>
>>26619911
This will do
>>
>>26619892
This might just be me being paranoid but they might want to strap us down just in case. We don't know what lower thought processes might take over if we go unconscious like this.
>>
>>26619951
>>26619911
"Sounds fine. I guess... Are you gonna strap me down?"
>"No, no, you don't think we need to, do you?"
"I don't know what lower processes might take over..."
>The doctor tells you to lie down and stay calm, "This table isn't meant to have anypony strapped to it, I'm sure you'll do fine."
>As he says this you feel the icy liquid flow into the IV.
>You lose control of your forelimbs, but not the feeling.
>"Hmm, that should do it."
>You can't move anything, but you haven't lost any sensations. You feel the cold air conditioning blow over you.
>"Subject's eyes remain open. Increasing dosage."
>The tips of your limbs start to tingle as the feeling fades, and your eyelids grow heavy
>However you're not even feeling groggy. You start to panic internally, but you can't move your lips or anything anymore.
>Your eyes still swivel in their sockets.
>"REM sleep, that was quick. She should be out good now."
>You hear the pegasi, Dr. Shine, you think her name was. "That's a clear success then. I hope she's willing to let us take the further biopsies."
>"The thing is out now, why not just take it."
>"Because, for one, the biopsies I need are risky procedures. I'm not risking her life without consent. And two, that's unethical on it's face. You should be ashamed for ever thinking of it."
>As the icy numbness spreads, burning pain follows. Your nose and hooves radiate pain.
>"I know you're considering it."
>"Considering isn't doing. I'm not gonna stoop so low. She'd never trust us again."
>"You mean it would never trust us?"
>"I don't know what you're trying to say. She's clearly a mare."
>"She's a damned Vampire Dr. Shine! A killer. I know my oath, but is it really doing harm to protect out other patients from a murderer in their midsts?"
>"You can't prove she murdered anypony."
>"I saw the bloodwork. She had distinctly non-nucleated blood cells. They had to come from somewhere."
>The burning suddenly spreads and you're unable to focus on the conversation.

>>
>>26620082
Grrr fucking IDIOT
I'll suggest we get out of this situation as soon as possible before we get fully knocked out cause at that point were powerless to stop them
I'm really angered by that guy Jesus fuck
>>
>>26620082
Oh dear, that's scary shit.

Prisoner in our own body? We're gonna have to hope he doesn't do anything stupid.
>>
>>26620082
Shit
This is not the time to be knocked out.

Move mango move! Got to try and fight off this crap.
>>
boop
>>
>>26622377
Boop mango
>>
>>26623804
>>
>>26620082
Since we apparently can't move, all we can do is wait, try not to panic too much, and hope the anesthetic numbed us enough to not feel the pain of being operated on.

Seems off that the doctor doesn't consider REM sleep under the influence of anesthesia odd. You don't dream on the table; anesthesia is more like a coma than sleeping.
>>
Probably not gonna be able to update tonight

Sorry.
>>
>>26626234
I'm pretty cool with not having an update tonight. I just wish we were out of this suspenseful cliffhanger.

This is some scary shit.
>>
>>26626508
I agree. The tension makes it awful.

It's the same thing that happened with Cough Syrup.
>>
>>26626130
I don't believe we're fully knocked out so we can still react and stop them
I don't want to give in
>>
>>26626819
I know we're not out, but the first thing to go was our movement, partially.
Then totally, including our lips.
We started losing feeling in our extremities
Our eyelids closed.
Then we started losing feeling, but everything started hurting.
Now we're hurting even more.

I'm pretty sure we're along for the ride, since such a point was made to show us not being able to move.

In fact, we're fully awake and aware, probably experiencing our body attempting to reject the substance as quickly as it comes. That's probably why we're hurting so much, the dosage isn't high enough, we're in an awful medium of experiencing our nerves going haywire.

Can't even rely on panic to raise our heart rate, because we tried that already.

tl;dr: all signs pointing to us being along for the ride.
>>
>>26626908
Hmm I see but still adrenaline is hell of a powerful drug it could fight off anestetic in our bloodstream
Better give one shot at escaping rather than just give up and pray he doesn't kill us with test
I just like playing risky
>>
>>26626908
I hear what you're getting at and all but we are in a magical fiction world so likely there's a chance for us to just work a way out of this.

Unless we're on a train ride for the moment.
>>
>>26627196
Choo choo motherfucker were getting railroaded
No but seriously I'd be pretty mad if mangoanon railroaded this and not follow our input even if we get punished for doing so
>>
>>26627369
Meh I guess but I wouldn't mind if it was for a good reason like establishing a new mechanic or something.

I like having a new puzzle to solve or powers to fuck with people.
Preferably both being used in tandem.
Powers for puzzles that need me to fuck people up.

Can't sleep, so I'll at least post this.
>"Wait, her... Doct... take... ..vateing... assho..."
>"Not... you kn.... fuck.... ..one, Lun..."
>The pain pulses, but you can't make out much.
>You're trying not to panic, but you know that if you were physically capable you'd be sobbing.
>It finally starts to ebb, and then you start to get feeling back.
>You can finally open your eyes, where you see the mint green mare in front of you.
>She's saying something, and looks very concerned, but you can't focus on that right now.
>You start to cough and hack as your lungs come back under your control.
>"Mango, are you alright? We noticed your heart rate was elevated and stopped the test. You were under for only about two minutes."
>Two minutes doesn't sound long, but it felt like forever.
>Everything aches. You just want to curl up into a ball and cry.
>input action
>>

I'm have mixed feelings over here i want to tell them that i heard their conversation and what they wanted to do to us without our permission
But then again they could just brush it off that nothing happened and call us crazy.
We could check ourselves when we leave hospital to see if anything was touched
>>
>>26628204
I don't know what these assholes did or took out but I want it back.

I'd call them out. But maybe in a more subtle way and vague way like saying " I was awake for all of it." And seeing how they respond to get info out of them.

It's time to turn on the bullshit detector!
>>
>>26628325
Heck are we sure they even took anything?
We didn't see anything happen but jesus that fucker we agreed to ONE thing and he suddently wants everything from us jesus i don't want to turn out as an edgelord but fuck that makes me angry very.fucking.angry.
>>
>>26628378
They wanted tissue samples so it probably wouldn't be too obvious if they did unless they cut us open and even if they didn't it take something wouldn't hurt to make sure by trying to figure out what they know. They'll start to freak out if they know we were awake for it. Perhaps fluttershy could help us check for cut marks and stuff, given that it hasn't healed already.

I think one of two things will happen if they're lying.
One they'll try and pass it off and convenes us it was nothing.

Two they'll either counter question us to figure out how much we know in some subtle way.

>We noticed your heart rate was elevated
Oh and this bothers me.
We're a vampire...since when did we have a heartbeat?

Also I wouldn't worry about being an edgelord because im pretty sure its rather reasonable to want to punch someone's face in if they fuck with your guts and junk in your sleep.
It would be edgelord territory if we straight out joined fang because of it.
>>
>>26628325
This, they need to know we were awake
>>
>>26628451
To be perfectly honest i'm more upset by the fact he called us a "it" STILL not giving us respect of a normal pony
in that situation why the fuck are we even cooperating witht them we could have been on our own not have to deal with all this bullshit only good thing that came out of everything was meeting.
I was a fool to agree to anesthesia test..but it's alright we can still stop them from testing samples if they did take any.
Though as you say undoubtly they will deny it till their last breath. because who wants to fuck with a vampire a vampire fucked up enough could make their life end quicker than they expected
>>
>>26628544
Oh, I kinda got used to the lack of respect that normal ponies give us for the most part. We're being used as a tool or a guinea pig most of the time so being called an it doesn't really phase me more then being treated as one dos.
>>
>>26628634
It's our fault really the choiches we made in past are biting us back now.
But all players make mistakes can't change past can only make future better now
>>
>>26628204
I say we inform the doctor of what occurred and that we only became paralyzed and keep the emotion out of our voice while we glare at the fucking nurse, unblinking and unmoving aside form our mouth all the while
>>
>>26628204
That was one of the worst experiences of my life.

The anesthesia didn't knock me out, it only paralyzed me.
>>
>>26627369
I know he chose not to, but this is one time I wouldn't have minded it because it makes sense we don't have input.

Being under the influence of anesthesia and complaining that we can't move or do anything? And I would even argue it's not railroading because we voluntarily gave up control by agreeing to the anesthesia test.
>>
>>26628204
Just tell them that we were awake, paralyzed, in a lot of pain, heard everything that was said, and that we never want that doctor to came anywhere near us ever again. Also have a good cry while saying all of this.
>>
>>26629368
Ah, the tried and true 'lash out, run away, and find a lonely place to feel sorry for ourselves' method.
>>
>>26629194
Eh we weren't fully knocked out could have still done something
And we (sorta) did judging by test being stopped

*Cough* "I was awake. *Cough*
>Both Doctor's faces pale
>"O-oh, dear Celestia, are you alright?"
"I heard what you said. *Wheeze* I didn't agree to any other tests. *Hack*
>The pegasus mare glares at her co-worker, her anger growing.
>"You stupid... fucking... bastard!"
>You roll off the table, and start breathing deeper, trying to clear the crud in your throat.
>"Mango, I'm so sorry. We didn't do anything but monitor you while we thought you were under. I... I can't excuse my or my coworker's remarks, but we're seeking knowledge Mango. It's something we're both passionate about."
>The stallion has held a neutral look since you awoke.
>"It's true, though, isn't it Mango. I know that the blood we gave you is Pegasus blood. But you have blood cells in you that are from Earth Ponies or Unicorns. How many have you murdered, beast?"
>>
>>26630307
I'm not talking to you.

Especially since he hasn't done a blood test since we got back.

And also, our agreement with Twilight was that we do her mission for blood packs, we don't need to do the doctor's tests anymore.
>>
>>26630376
This but also ask the doctor if she left us in the room with that other dick for even a minute.

I don't trust either of them but I trust him even less.
>>
>>26630307
Look who's talking you wanted to perform possibly lethal tests on me without giving a damn
Not even regarding the fact that i'm a pony much like you.

>>26630524
>>26630376
"You just said you wanted... *cough* to run possibly lethal tests without my permission! I have nothing else to say to a fucking hypocrite"
>You say as tears involuntarily streak down your face. You still just sit on the floor, standing seems like too much effort.
>He smirks, "So you admit it, then? Dr. Shine, I said I'd work with a peaceful vampire, but I want nothing to do with you assisting a monster."
>He leaves the operating room with a huff.
>"Oh, screw you! I'm telling the Princess what you've done here, dammit."
"Did... Did you ever leave me in here alone with him?"
>"No, I never left the room once I came in."
>"I, uh, I understand if you don't want to continue tonight. I also don't have another anesthesiologist with the proper clearances."
>"I do have that one's notes on you, if you wanted to try a higher dose?"
>She looks up hopefully.
>>
>>26630642
Not now not after all of this i'm sorry you seem like a good pony but not now.
Sorry i lost all of my trust maybe in future but i'm not sure
>>
>>26630642
Let's not do anything more today, and ensure what's stopping the anesthesiologist from reporting all our asses to the guard and what's not, this is NOT something I want to take a chance on
>>
>>26630642
No more tests ever.

As for that other guy we didn't admit to anything. He needs dealing with perhaps we can catch up to him and explain how we can get blood with out killing who we feed from.
>>
>>26630642
No more. That was basically torture.
>>
>>26630788
wait never mind im not worried about that guy.

I read this wrong I thought he was going to the cops or something over crap we didn't say.

Forget about him. If he's not going to cause problems we don't need to explain ourselves to that asshole.
>>
>>26631368
I agree. Fuck that guy.
>>
>>26631380
Guy is literally biggest dick i ever met in ENTIRE fucking quest
i never had a quest make me that mad i'm just glad everything turned out fine in the end.
