Sorry for being slow during the holidays, I basically worked the entire week of Christmas and then got sick for a day and a half.
I was supposed to have the night off today, but my useless manager decided to fuck me over. I've spent my shift on my phone job hunting, going to be updating my resume this morning and finding a new job ASAP, so my green time might suffer in the immediate future. But I will never abandon a story people care about!

It really sucks because the job itself and the scheduled hours are actually super convenient for me, it's the first time I've worked a job with a set weekly schedule on backshifts.
Maybe I should just try hammering out a short novel and see if I can get published instead. I've always wanted to and I'm not getting any younger, less poor or more educated doing anything else. Y'know, it's been really hard reading these two threads without feeling an uncomfortable sense of Stockholm Syndrome.
Because, let's face it, it's the only plausible way to explain Twilight Sparkle ever being okay with any of these situations. Y'know, the Twilight who's only starting to realise just how important she and the other elements of harmony are to Equestria's well-being. The Twilight who's starting to enjoy being a Princess, and having a student of her own to teach about the magic of friendship. The Twilight who ultimately, has a wonderful life in Equestria - she's got all the friends, family and books she could ask for. She's probably really looking forward to being an aunt, too.
I can totally see why she'd put all that aside to be perfectly content with being some schmuck's live-in girlfriend. Or worse, in Jessi Jinx's case, relegated to being nothing more than bedroom furniture. A fleshlight with a pulse for a directionless shut-in.And one that actually plays LoL over the far superior Dota 2, to boot. Does he not like having all the heroes available to play without having to save points for them or wait until they're on rotation? And what's with dropping all that stuff about crossdressing? Still, it adds some pathos to things, I suppose. Reading these stories whilst imagining that Twilight's psychologically broken and that her trying to visit Anon's parents is some desperate, grasping way to put some normalcy into her life, some attempt to rationalise an existence where she'll have to spend the rest of her life in hiding, never to see her friends and family ever again, or to see her niece/nephew be born. To get to be a mother herself. To live her life in Equestria. Her home.
Or more simply, you can just imagine thatthis isn't Twilight at all. It never was. This is just a changeling that came to earth. A changeling that's taking advantage of Anon's deeply-rooted loneliness. And using his love to metamorphosize into a Queen. And is going to build the first changeling hive on Earth.
