Yeah I agree with him on most points, it's more that I'm annoyed with how the show handles her. His three rules of Glim apply there.
Glimmer the villainous ruler of Our Town was great. Glimmer the time-traveler screaming for vengeance was also good. Glimmer the oh shit, we're already 40 minutes in, I am reformed and immediately forgiven now was where it started getting worse.
Now she's there simply to be a Twilight 0.8 learning about friendships and hating herself for her past. And each time someone makes a "joke" about how evil she was I want to curbstomp and hatefuck my cat. I liked the scheming, mind-raping Glimmer more than the atoning for her sins Glimmer. We don't get many villains, and even less actually good ones.

It's always spike who makes these jokes at glimmers expense, it's almost like the writers are trying to troll glimmerfags. Hell, I remember during the christmas episode back in may glimmerfags went full sore in the rectum area over one single line from spike.

I mean I kind of think part of the reason why Old!Glimmerfags prefer Old!Glimmer is that they see more of her as this great villain than just a character (hell that would apply to me sort of), but the S6 version is less impressive as you have Sunset already having done the whole redemption schtick, and not keeping on what some liked about her. Discord was liked for being this wacky funny and manipulative villain, but when he reformed he at least maintained his wacky funny and manipulative traits and did it in a cheeky but non-villainous way (excluding the time he betrayed the mane six as that would be him swaying back to villainy.)
Starlight on the other hand was liked for being this normal pony who was this serious villain, unlike Discord being this comedic villain, who was manipulative, cunning and misguided well-intentioned extremist. Sure it was revealed she didn't follow her own philosophy by having her CM removed too, but she still brought up how special her town was and the importance of it being a place of equality in the S5. Then comes S6 and you have the first two traits gone and the third one corrected (corrected as in the moral sense, not the writing quality sense) so you have nothing of what people loved about her returning. Sure so far you have a few hiccups back to S5 Glimmer like when she casted a talking spell to Big Mac, but that's not the main focus of her character as of after S5 unfortunately.
As for the jokes there not so much as they make call out for it being insulting to Glimmer more on so that it's stale and that it was only funny the first time when it was done to Shimmer.
And finally for the hair, her hair change is the worst thing that Josh Haber did to her. (Okay not really, but I still I prefer the old hairstyle.)
