He's officialy a producer for the movie, He's word still matter for Mccarthy when approving plotlines and characters for FiM, comics and books. Don't be naive that HE HIMSELF took his own liberty in creating the show WHEN HE STATED that left the positon as producer JUST because he wanted to join the creative aspect of the show staff. Or better/weirder yet, Chrysalis had sent a spy as a maid to learn how one should raise a pony baby rather than a changling one (somehow Shining's love helped spawn a new baby in Chrysalis) and once the maid is found out Chrysalis shows up with a half pony half changling baby and demands Cadance to help her raise it.
