Because they grow in improperly and fuck up your teeth alignment. Historically, people back in the medieval period could die if they weren't yanked because it could cause infection. The earlier you get them pulled, the better since the process is more complicated in later life.

How would wisdom teeth becoming less common over time have anything to do with evolution in a world where they can routinely be removed if they grow in wrong and have absolutely 0 impact on fitness to breed?
Is there a distinct advantage to spreading one's genetic material around conveyed by not having any wisdom teeth in any part of the world where competent dentistry exists?

It wasn't that bad for me. I felt like absolute shit the first day, and then had a bit of discomfort for a few days while the swelling went down.
Not to mention the weird taste in your mouth for a few days.

I think it depends on your situation. The dentist who took mine out was able to get it done in 15 minutes from when he walked in the room and I was back to normal after 2 days of generic painkillers and 4 days of soft dieting.

My teeth are growing in exactly like the bottom left. My dentist said that if I get them removed, it could cause permanent nerve damage in my gums.
Since they aren't fucking up my teeth and not causing any pain whatsoever, I'm not going to fucking touch them. I am genuinely believe I have super teeth and if I fuck with anything in my mouth more than I have it's just going to start a chain reaction of terribleness.
