Rarijack seems too forced at times and just overall isn't a great pairing no matter how masculine Applejack comes across. The thing with Flarity (Rarishy if 2012) is you have a pony who is sociable among others while another who is scared to death of newcomers and comes off for the most part shy in a good way, which in turn can create a bond out of dependency that may be cute for some. Not to mention they are probably the two most feminine mares out of the main 6 so it makes it all the more adorable.
TwiShy seems boring though, I'll give you that.
