A watermark depicting a patreon link is not the same level as the watermark depicting their tumblr or deviant art. You can write the link, it's a watermark that just happens to be part of the "free" version of the picture.
Like, (this part right here isn't specifically directed towards the post I'm replying to) what was the poster supposed to do anyway? Photoshop the patreon watermark out? There is nothing wrong with posting the free version of a patreon supported image if the poster just wants to show it off in a 4chan thread. It's just an image that is related to the topic, and the patreon site is one of the sites to earn money. The poster is telling people to go to the website, they're just including a picture they found on the internet to set the thread theme.
The logo shouldn't be forbidden from being shown on an anonymous image board just because it relates to a site where the artist makes money.
And to everyone who might reply to this with your "ur just defending patreon u shill" comments, congratulations, your argument is true and bases its premise that relies on jump logic and stating the contrary for the sake of being contrary.
And to take this a step further, I reverse image searched the OP image and Unfortunately is the same watermarked picture,
and must have to pay real cash for the high resolution and that doesn't have the patreon watermark.
