>"Craig McCracken's wife is making a My Little Pony show? Sounds alright, might check out an episode or two"
Anyone else in this boat? This was... like, summer 2010. That Ms. Magazine article about "the death of the creator-driven era of cartoons" was some great lulz.
No because she was a literal who at the time. The fact that she didn't even have a name and was only "McCracken's wife" shows this. She had done nothing on her own and there was no reason to assume she would be good.
Also she is a primma donna who quit her "dream job" so fuck her.

Kill yourself.
>>27822039
She did Powerpuff Girls. That was quite popular.
>>27822067
She had a writing credit on a couple episodes. She didn't "do" PPG.

Fake oldfags worst oldfags.

Fucking this! ^ In case anyone haven't noticed, Lauren best work only involved her working with her husband despite she made very little episodes with each show she worked on.
The figurines on >>27822032 screen cap was supposed to be one of her original shows but apparently it never happened in 2012.
You can tell it's Lauren's work by the way Wonder Girl is drawn.

Heard about the show and the article WAY after it caught on. Didn't start watching episodes and fan videos until sometime in S2, came here in the S2-S3 hiatus.I'm still okay with Feeling Pinkie Keen.
I got on the ride August 2011, sometime before season 2. I was watching youtubepoops and a pony one was in the recommended vids. I had a silly picture of Will Smith on it so i went ahead and watched. I was impressed on MLP itself rather than the YTP. So i watched an episode and it escalated from there.
I was honestly scared myself on how i liked it so much at first, i was completely engrossed and i knew how people would react
>>27822032
this is not show related
>>27823035
Rules states all pony things, not just the hasbro show and the op already stated "Lauren Faust" and "My Little Pony" show.
>>27822226
Your english sucks dick, it makes me want to gouge out my eyes.
>>27822226
Does Faust enjoy writing the most hypocritical and shallow morals she can think of?
>>27823266
Bite me.
>>27823280
99% of the time she will write episodes related to feminism and gurl power. They have good messages, but I'm not fond of her content THAT much. I'm willing to bet the "creative differences" nonsense she had on her projects are related to that, too.
>>27822032
Nope, it was why the hell are they posting these ponies on /b/ all the damn time.
Faust is trash now. MLP has drastically fallen in quality the past few seasons, and it's because of her. She's even started including fandom OCs like Button Mash and fandom terms like "Flutterguy". Besides reforming Starlight, what mistakes will be make next?
>>27823366
Your joke is so retarded not even the autists are getting it.
>>27823366

Boi...
>>27822032
As far as I remember, I noticed the rampant explosion of pony content around early 2011, eventually watched a couple of episodes to figure out what the fuck was going on and got hooked, thereby irreversibly fucking myself over because at this point I was an autistic twelvie, and adding in being a 'brony' at this point didn't do me any favors going through high school.
>>27823472/gif/ discussions on overwatch threads are hilarious in its early days.
>>27823035
You have a right to that opinion even if it's wrong.
The only reason I ended up watching the show was because it aired on the same channel as the then new Transformers Prime as well as other shows I liked, and one day was too lazy to mute tv/change the channel when the "girl shows" came on like I usually would
The episode was Winter Wrap Up, the song caught my ear, and being a faggot who secretly loves musicals I was intrigued by the songs quality and watched the rest of the episode....since then I've been hooked on small horses

But she not created the ponies.

You fucked up, fake oldfag.
>neo-/mlp/ has completely turned on Faust
Nothing out of the ordinary. I wish I could have gotten on earlier than Spring 2011, but the wait for S2 was still pretty magical.
>>27826436
/mlp/ has always been completely split on her since her departure. Quit acting like this is some new thing. She's a prima donna who quit for bad reasons and the show has gotten better without her. People have always thought this.
>>27826436
They have to feel better about her being JUST all the time
>>27826450
>She's a prima donna who quit for bad reasons and the show has gotten better without her.
Or Hasbro fired her and made her "loyalists" turn the show into the very thing she was against, YMMV
>>27826510
We know factually that she was not fired. Her complete reasons for leaving aren't 100% clear but we know it was of her own volition. The only she she has said is that "she didn't have as much creative control as she wanted" which could make either Hasbro or Her the unreasonable one.
>>27826521
>7826510 (You)
>We know factually that she was not fired. Her complete reasons for leaving aren't 100% clear but we know it was of her own volition.
That could be spin, seeing how vague and sudden it was
>>27826559
We can only believe what evidence we have. Both Hasbro and Faust have confirmed the same story, there is no reason to believe otherwise.
>>27826569
If they both said the same thing, couldn't that mean Hasbro told her spill the news in a very specific way?
>>27826647
They have no control over her at that point. Either way it paints her in a favorable light. If she says she was fired then Hasbro could just come out and say "Yeah, she was uncooperative and difficult to work with" and thus hurt what little career she has.
So either she goes along with them because it helps her or they are going along with her because it helps her. Hasbro is huge and what one small time writer says about them means a lot less than what a major company says about a small time writer.
>>27826436
We didn't turn on Faust. She's a good person, but when you REALLY get to know people behind the things we love, it's another level.
>>27826662
>>27826709
God I hate 1 dimensional characters living in real life. Makes me want to grab them through the screen and punch the living shit out of them. How do they even breathe in a 3D world? How do you function?
>>27826718
So you're mad I don't agree with your conspiracy theory. I'm sorry you feel that way.
>>27826718

I just find it funny other Hasbro Studios "creative stewards" were let go around around the same time with no explanation
