rainbow dash is probably the Second or First most popular character in the fandom when ALL of the fandom and the target audience is taken into account (Not just here)
She's a very likeable character, VERY accessible to new male viewers and the target audience's young male crowd (I think she's the number 1 character with the young male crowd due to her Shonen hero style personality and style), she has a very interesting Design and color scheme, and she has THE MOST intercharacter chemistry of the mane six, being able to play off the other 5 effortlessly (Most of the other 5 usually hit about 3 or 4 of the other 5 well and then struggle with the last 1 or 2 for chemistry, but dash excels with all of them).
Plus, she's very admirable, possessing alot of good traits, such as Bravery, loyalty, and even empathy towards those under her as shown in Hurricane fluttershy.
