I'm not sure what's wrong with my computer but literally every browser that multiprocesses ran pretty badly on it.

This goes for Chrome, Chromium, ChrOpera, IE, Edge and pretty much all other Chromium based pieces of shit:
+ starts fast
+ great performance when browsing
- can't do pretty much anything else when the browser is open -> many tabs hog down the CPU like crazy
- absolutely zero interface customization
- very few other options to fuck with
- auto updates with limited or no option to disable them
- shit font rendering
- Google (TM) botnet

I personally run Pale Moon (switched when FF29 came out). Not for (alleged) performance superiority - it actually runs worse than the old Firefox used to - but because it doesn't have and will never have the Australis UI, but most of the older extensions still run on it.
