Anyway,reading this,while not bad, feels sooooooooo meta. The writer is probably criticizing that Cadence is just a shoehorned princess put directly by Hasbro. She has no personality whatsoever and it's pointed at the "prettt princess" part where it reflects that Cadence was just meant to sell a lot of toys to little girls because she is pretty. Here,she feels depressed by showing her a meta plot device of how people sees her in Equestria and in the real world.

I'm not sure if I'd even call this better quality since there's so many visible jpeg compression artifacts it almost makes the text harder to read. Then again I view the comics scaled down to fit my browser so neither the edgy quality of iTunes nor these MS Paint copies really bother me since it all gets smoothed out.
But I don't think it really matters if the storytime is an hour late, so go for better quality.

It was incredibly meta, but I loved it. Anything that gives Cadence a bit more of a personality is a welcome addition in my books. The writer was obviously aware of how many fans think of her as just a pretty pink princess who only exists to sell toys and it dealt with that subject in a poignant, but still entertaining fashion. Cadence is still my least favorite princess, but this issue made me respect her a bit more.
9/10. It's only not a 10/10 because the art was really off-model at times.
This comic bugs me. If that was all it took to cheer her up did it have to be twiggy who said it? Wouldn't her husband saying it be more meaningful? Also what's wrong with being the hot princess? Fuck this comic

I like how it went meta with everyone thinking of Cadence as just a pretty princess with literally nothing else to her. I feel it did an okay job of addressing those faults, and it even gave her a bit of character.
Unfortunately this comic will simply always be viewed as a fix-job for a vapid character on the show, and not a real in-depth look at her.

Perhaps, but she did get some good character development. Her book even goes into how she's over that and how it stuck. Sunfags I feel will never get their episode if the staff really stick to her being a mysterious, all good background presence like Faust wanted. Which is a shame cause I'd love a princess slice of life episode or a Luna and Celestia sisters episode. Though we got some of the latter in Slice of Life.
