>A bunch of Anons are wiped of their memories upon entering Equestria.
>They all end up being nearest to Ponyville.
>Twilight requests for the Mayor to hold a town meeting.
>Mares without a partner will take in a single human.
>Every mare must submit a report of human activity once a week.
>Humans are to be informed of this once they are gathered.
>Those who disagree with the terms of their stay will be relocated to a facility to which will work towards a means of sending them home.
>Mares must write their name on a piece of paper and slip it in to a magic hat.
>Anons will individually pick out a name from the hat and will be spending their time with said mare.
>If relations are proving to be poor between a human and mare, the human will be transferred elsewhere.
>All humans have free stay of up to two weeks before they are required to make active contribution towards society.
>Any who struggle or have difficulties doing so will be temporarily relocated for training or health care management.
>After one year, should conditions improve marginally within Ponyville due to human integration, arrangements will be made with the royals of the land to expand what ground Ponyville has to allow for additional accommodation for future generations.

>Ponyville and Equestria by large is a socialist bureaucracy
What about a hearty no.
>>
>>27758183
Applied to real life?
Absolutely, most certainly not.

In Equestria?
>>
>>27758183
Don't think of it like that.
Think of it as a pony gf raffle.
>>
>>27758287
demanding anons fit into a societal mold is a bit hard to look past though, given the premise. Anons would be much more useful in developing tech and shit that pone hooves or unicorn magic cant do. given our relyance on non-magical means.
>>
>>27758546
If you were suddenly in Equestria surrounded by others like you, do you seriously think they'd settle to have everyone just bum around?
Pretty sure that out of all those people, only handful of them would be proficient enough at a trade to make do with scraps and build up from there.
>>
>>27758546
>wiped of their memories
Shoulders of giants, anon.
Unless they're high genius level and could brute force their lack of knowledge, humans would be less proficient in intellectual tasks than native ponies.
And depending on your interpretation of pony feats of strength in the show, they'd not be much use for manual labour, either.

But anon, /mlp/ can't write for shit.
Most of it's talent grew out of pone.
Free writefags are near extinct.
All that's left a few niche writers.

>Your name is Field.
>That's what the decision was.
>It was easier than going around with no name.

>You had woken up on one, surrounded by dozens of others like you - all of different shapes, sizes and ethnicities.
>The only things only your person was what you were wearing and anything in your pockets.
>Keys and some money.
>Something you didn't retain were your memories.
>Seemed to be that everybody else there had the same problem.
>While some were worried or panicking, others were not - choosing to remain calm or to better yet; act as a figure of confidence.
>Needless to say, everyone was feeling nervous on some level.
>Whilst some of the others formed small groups and worked on coming up with a plan, you sorta kept to yourself.
>You'd answer if you were asked something, but you never really got involved in any serious discussion.
>Soon, however, it became apparent that the mass of people overall needed to get together with their ideas and suggestions on what to do next.
>The plan was simple; find or make some place warm and sheltered to keep yourself protected from the elements and work towards finding a reliable source of food and water.
>However, before everybody could split off, a flash of violet light filled the sky, stopping everyone in their tracks.
>Down descended who you'd come to know as Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship and overseer of the nearby village of Ponyville.
>Being a first contact situation on both sides meant that this would be challenging.
>>
>>27760240

>Fortunately, you all had one thing in common; you all spoke English to some degree, if not fluently.
>Whatever couldn't be understood verbally would be expressed through the usage of various alternative methods.
>One of the notable events of this meeting was Twilight helping someone who had arrived badly impaired amongst the group.
>Whilst there were others amongst you who suffered from difficulties, one was clearly suffering more than others.
>It looked like they had been in bad condition prior to arriving.
>The most anyone could do to help them prior to this event was to accommodate them as best as they could.
>Twilight spoke to the crowd, informing them she would be taking the person away to be treated, promising them they'd be in far better care.
>Having them placed on her back, her horn lit up as she expressed a look of deep concentration before the two of them vanished in to thin air.
>It stirred up a lot of worries amongst the crowd, but soon she returned alone in much the same way.
>"He's fine now," she expressed with relief.
>"He's under professional care and is being looked after by the best of the best."
>While there were cries of anger and fear, the more confident-looking individuals stood firm.
>With a flap of her wings, she took to the air just ahead and called out to us from behind.
>"If you are able to, I would like all of you to follow me! I shall help you get settled and make arrangements for your accommodation!"
>>
>>27760245

>It was turning night time and many ponies like her were looking on in curiousity, mostly from inside their homes, down the lamp lit streets, leading towards the bizarre-looking castle of Twilight and her friends up ahead.
>You all seemed to behave well and made your way in through ordinary fashion.
>You entered the main hall - ceiling towering far above you and expanding outwards far and wide.
>Many ponies from Canterlot had been summoned to aid Twilight with providing temporary accommodation for the night with most people sleeping in the main hall, some along the hallways and those who were more uncomfortable around others in guest bedrooms.
>Twilight informed everybody that vegetable soup was being prepared for anybody who was hungry and provided people with directions as to where they could find the different bathrooms around the place if they needed to use them
>Needless to say, this would be one of the greater challenges this princess would be faced with.
>>
made your way in in orderly fashion*

>When Twilight announced that dinner was ready to be served, many of you made your way towards the dining room whilst others who were feeling less hungry had opted to go to sleep.
>Upon entering, you found it more to be ballroom with an expansive table stretching out from one side of the room to the other.
>"Some of the help who will be staying over to keep watch on things will be eating with us tonight, so I hope that none of you mind if they share the table with you."
>Several mares and colts trotted single-file in to the room through a side door - some of the mares wearing maid outfits, some of the colts wearing butler-like attire and the rest wearing knights armor.
>Whilst there were some who clearly took to their own seat seperate from you and the others, some were more inclined to take seats between you - more commonly; the mares in both maid and knightly attire.
>Upon taking their seats, knights would take off their helmets and place them to one side.
>The one thing you hadn't mention yet was the bizarre contraption that hung overhead and was being magically lowered by Twilight once everybody had taken their seats.
>Twilight had divised a plan to have you and the others amazed at her creative ingenuity, having crafted a mechanism that would equally displace equal amounts of tonight's vegetable soup to each of your respective bowels with causing a spill.
>You'd later come to find that this was a device that had been reworked from a previous, failed attempt.
>>
>>27760389

>Three pegasi were seen carrying the large cauldron out from the kitchen and in to the room, flying up and carefully adjusting themselves to begin pouring the soup in to the contraption.
>Despite the cheesiness of it all, you watched in awe as the soup poured down the main funnel, along the open pipe and down in to each individual chute, slowly filling your bowls with the delicious-smelling substance.
>Once the last drip was done, Twilight clapped her hooves as the contraption was raised to the ceiling with her magic, making a resounding click as the locks up above kept it in place.
>"Dinner is served!"

Excellent story so far

I want to write
But I must let the idea ferment and age into a good idea
>>
>>27758753
equestria does show an overrelyance on magic, and a complete lack in military development. it wouldnt be that hard to come up with some new ideas on that front.
the degree of memory loss could be an issue, since it'd mean anon would be useless as an artist too. There's all kinds of stories and music pones would never have heard.

people get very creative when theyre actually pushed to be, anons would find a niche in society to fill, having some kind of mandate for an alien fucking species to contribute to society is ridiculous.
>>
>>27758114

With their memories wiped, people are essentially children. I was gonna say it'd turn out like the Lord of the Flies, but firstnot everyone is born a brit hoolie and second, with the benevolent influence of ponies anons would mature into nice people.

However, anons would mature and reach their age-specified complexity relatively quickly and develop good, bad and neutral personality traits.

>>27761738
>having some kind of mandate for an alien fucking species to contribute to society is ridiculous.

Liberal detected.
>>
>>27758114
It really depends what you mean by "wiped of their memories". If I'm wiped of all information about my identity, that's perfectly fine. I'd be able to contribute a lot to Equestria in terms of math, science, government, industry, and maybe even art.

If I lose all my explicit long term memory (episodic + semantic, the stuff you can consciously remember), but keep the implicit ("muscle memory", types of thinking involved in various skills, etc), then it'd really depend on if I hit on the things I'd be good at.

I'd be able to re-teach myself math very efficiently, but I wouldn't be able to massively contribute by remembering chemical processes and industrial designs. If I was somehow miraculously placed with Twilight, I'd be in an ideal situation, exposed to lots of information and with an expert in magic and other fields to learn from.

If I was placed somewhere where it never came up, I imagine I'd still do okay, but not exceptionally so.
>>
>>27764162

I believe it's somewhere down the middle.
It's more of what human culture is that you end up forgetting. You can be great at playing a first person shooter, for example, but you won't be able to remember what that shooter was - or any of the characters in it.
>>
Page 10 save because this thread has potential.just like you anon. Only difference being the thread will probably make better use of it.

Thanks Anon.
For the time being though, I've been feeling pretty stressed.
I would very much like to see someone else take their own narrative of this situation.
>>
>>27766072
im one of the anons who critiqued it. I do like the premise, but do you really need to explain what led to this status quo? You could just start off at the raffle.

>tfw one anon runs off to live with the gryphons who like most predators eat their prey raw.
>anon becomes a master chef cause he actually knows how to cook meat
