I don't know MelodicPony personally, but you can be certain that the fact that he died last year was made up by me.
Although, he might have actually passed last year and I just happened to guess that. Seems very unlikely, though. Especially since Tom Kesl (alleged cousin) was silent about the whole thing for this entire time, and only chose to confirm his death after my comment.

Posting my correspondence here with Czequestria to be transparent about the whole process.
When I got the original email from a viewer I regarded the comment by Weird to be suspicious, even the one by Tom that was claiming to be his cousin.
I did some detective work and contacted Czequestria since they are based in the same area Melodic lives to see if they could give me some confirmation. What you see above is what they sent me.

Aelipse is the guy in the YT comments that failed to communicate with Melodic for the last year and a half and assumed that he moved on. He wasn't aware of what happened, and only three weeks ago some random guy informed him about it.
They weren't really close friends, they hung out on the same Czech brony community forum. I would just like for Aelipse to state that he knows about his death from some other sources and didn't just assume the guy on YT was right.

Yeah, it's very odd. I didn't know of Aelipse's lack of contact till the translation or that he was a friend of Melodic until Czequestria returned my notes.
It might be possible that if Tom really is his cousin that he did get in contact with Tom privately as indicated in the end of the translated messages and was able to confirm it.
After all it has been 3 weeks since that conversation takes place. I'm contacting Czequestria now for clarification now that this has all come to light.
