In a day there were an infinite number of decisions that were made that branch to create infinite number of universes in which different timelines exist.
Maybe there is only one timeline, with only one direct path must occur, from the Big Bang to the Big Crunch, destined to repeat itself infinitely. Over and over, repeating, the same exact timeline.
