First impressions:
I'll be honest, this was quite disappointing.
It dragged too much on the marshmallow cereal part with Silver Crescent. It's also hard to grasp on what is going on. What is Yellow Star's motives? What is she summoning inside that library? Also, the conclusion (or lack thereof) is very confusing. Yellow star just disappeared like that? Like, "Oh you failed to read till the end. Bye bye" What? Try putting a reason on why next time. Not to mention how Yellow Star was described multiple times that she was good and the best and etc... But then what did she do afterwards? Become the villain? Why? She's the best, smart, and talented. Why did she resort to tricking the townsfolk to do a weird dance and song for her so she could do evil things? Also, many times it has been mentioned that Twilight is smart and outsmarted all of her friends when she escaped the library. Why is it that she stupidly dropped the lantern? It's a weak plot device. And what's up with Celestia's sudden appearance? Yellow Star is Celestia? How'd you come up with that? The name? That's it? You cound do better. I'd say, poor execution.
At least there's some good jokes here and there with some good background images, but overall, it's not something I would recommend. I prefer the previous episodes. This one is just confusing. Better luck next time.

Pony chan is basically dead. It was only ever relevent when mlp was banned from 4chan. After /mlp/ was created it basically limped on as the tamer more boring alternative to 4chan, and that's something I have no interest in. Ponychan was were I first watched MAAS tho - back around episode 2. I think Greg was on a thread discussing the episode way back in the day.

I gotta say RDP is my favorite fan-made series. The very pinnacle, IMO, was Haunting Nightmare, which had it all. This one was good but had some odd quiet moments, and as others have said, wasn't as good if you haven't read King In Yellow. That said I'm very glad you made it, I did enjoy it and I hope to see more of these wonderful things. (I also loved Alicorn Day, it was SO much better than the real episode.)
I think this is probably the best RDP yet. But it's also different to the others, it's more of a straight adaption of a self-aware humorous yet quite dark story (and a GOOD one), rather than the others which take bad stories and more obviously change and parody and make fun.
Yes, there are some issues with it, mostly that it's missing some key scenes from the original (explaining what happens when Twilight finishes the book and what Yellowstar wants to do, and the slightly different ending in the barn) but overall it's really well done and actually has something interesting to say besides "fanfics are silly"

I haven't read the original fic, but I think it's obvious that the book was basically Celestia's diary when she was young.
The subtext beating the façade means that the subtext from the diary tells she was a massive cunt when she was young, something that is obvious to adults who read it, but to younger people and children it may seem that she was a normal and popular child based on how she wrote about herself.
Twilight seeing her as a happy blonde child with flowers in her hair proves to Celestia she's naive and doesn't see the subtext that proves she was an evil demonspawn who terrorized everyone, including her own family, and it's probably why Luna is so fucked up.

Ved did do the music box but it actually changes up from scene to scene. I'm not sure if it's cut out to be a full track but a few people have expressed interest in it.
As for loose ends like "What's it all about", I try not to lean in on those conversations. Sometimes people go in interesting directions with ideas and sometimes not, but if I flat out say what I meant then maybe it's not as interesting as someone else's perspective. Or maybe it is but I wind up being too blunt about it and that takes all the wind out of the sails.
