Well for magic fetish guns, I would expect there to be quite a few.
Part of the backstory is that magic talismans should be quite common and go by the RPG concept of just stick it on there to have an effect.
So reasonably, you would have the Borderlands loot thing of all guns have some wierd but useful combination of parts and effects.
So lightweight guns made of lead, acid bullets, rounds that pop out into blades, healing bullets, etc...
All would be quite appropriate and entertaining to see characters try and pokemon them.

There's not enough time skydiving to really pull it off.
You have around 2 minute total, but are rarely above the point to see the massive gains.
As well, attempting to have a non pressurized suit at the ose altitudes would be more likely to cause frostbite and extreme bruising as the blood and cellular fluids leak out and pool under the skin.
In addition, the longest part of the descent is typically with chute deployed, and while you could tandem jump nookie, its unlikely to have a camera rig due to the offset balance, lack of angles, and inability to make much show or noise due to the wind speed.
A much better plan would be to go into a hypobaric chamber and film that way.
All this is an issue though as humans are not geared torward these pressures, hence altitude sickness and so on.

The thing you need to decide is if the traps are lethal or not.
Perhaps the heat talisman causes immeadiate heat exhaustion, with the trick being that in a few minutes you're a slow cooked au juis dish.
Sothen do the allies run in and deal with a delerious comrade or leave him to die.
The cryo talisman freeze shatters a limb.
Levitation leaves them helpless midair ripe for whatever evils.
Shock could leave them with a random tic or spasms for a while, just as much as paralysis.
And then of course there is the fun stuff like bloat sprites getting to successfully lay their young in the pony and have them hatch, manticores roaming and devouring whole ponies.

Oh there's no reason not to be descriptive! A gun can carry cultural significance. Little Mac is actually a pretty good example of an object with a personal touch that was a gift between family members. Similarly, a foreign weapon would have had to be imported at some point, either pre-war or by brought by some foreign entity, which has a different connotation. A heavy weapon that someone's spraypainted an affectionate name on to has another connotation again. But this is not a property unique to guns, it's a property of all objects.
As far as telling a story goes, the only differences in kind you uniquely get out of guns are "built to kill people", "built to kill people in a cold and impersonal way", "built to kill people in a gruesome and horrible way", "built to kill lots of people", and "built to kill things that aren't people".
Flavour description will go a long way, but information about calibre and attachments and other technical stuff will be filtered out by most non-/k/ readers as noise.

In other cases its more fun to describe the effects, such as how the rounds erode cover sending sparks and chips of cement scything.
But really its about the character, showing their purpose deliberate actions in setting up a rifle or their cocky nature from all the bling and attachments or special snowflake choices, on out to the unstable character with a barely held together pneumatic cannon lobbing cracked talismans that detonate in an arcane squall.
