Infighting among the white race
WWII saddens me because the cucked whites stopped Hitler and allowed communism to live.

Time for a quickie

>you are Tommy anon
>days ago, you were hit by an artillery shell
>you remember singing a bit before blacking out
>your eyes are staring up at nothing once more
>it is cold as balls
>you sit up
>all your limbs are still in place

>you strain as you get up
>your legs are wobbily
>you smell horrible
>slowly, you trudge through the mud
>you manage to make it to the lump

>you look down at her form quietly
>she's laying next to your mate that was singing all those nights ago
>you look about
>alone in the field of mud
>with a dead pink pony
>you kneel down taking off your overcoat
>you drape it over her and pat her frigid form
>slowly, you stand back up
>it's time to head back to the lines
>only the sounds of your footsteps in the mud is heard
>you start singing to yourself
"Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, and smile, smile, smile..."

November 27th 1917,

Today was the first whole day at the new aerodrome. Yesterday evening, we made the official transfer over here. Sleeping arrangements that night were less than ideal since they hadn’t yet set up a tent for me. I had to sleep in the chateau… by myself. That was a lonely and hard night. Nightmares have a way of finding me when I’m alone. Tonight is much better. Our commander ordered a tent to be set up for me on the fringes of the airfield, out past the hangars where it’s nice and quiet. I really appreciate him, and it’s lucky that he was transferred with us. He’s not the highest ranking officer on the airfield anymore, but he’s among the top three. It’s good having a friend in high places. He’s still directly in charge of me among the other pilots from the old aerodrome, he just has people to answer to now.

There have been more than a few stares from the locals. But little contact. I don’t know what it is, like they’ve never seen a talking Pegasus before? However, it would seem like I’m not the exception for once. Everyone from our base has been rather distant from the local crowd. The recruits are a little more sociable, but the older pilots and Freddy have mostly been sticking to themselves. It might just be the mutual disinterest in the locals, but a few pilots from our old base actually struck up conversation with me. These are odd times indeed.
>>
>>27612329
I’ve gotten Freddie’s new scarf, and I’m really impressed with it. Very bright colors, thick soft material, and a perfect replica of a (somewhat elongated) Union Jack. I think he’ll love it, or at least not be mortified by it anyway. I wanted to give it to him right away, but Anon said it would be better to wait until this holiday called “Christmas”. He says it’s the human’s normal time for exchanging gifts, and that it’s less than a month away. It sounds a lot like Hearths Warming Eve, but what do I know. I’ve never experienced a Christmas before. They say it’s to celebrate the birth of their god. The same one who walked this earth nineteen hundred years ago. Somehow the whole gift giving thing got wrapped up into it too at some point. I’m not sure how, and all the stories Anon tells me of a virgin giving birth to a kid in a manger are a little hard to follow. But if it’s the norm to give gifts then, I’ll wait. Anon also tells me it’s a great day for getting completely smashed. That is always something to look forward to.

Adapting to life here hasn’t been too bad yet. I completed my spy routine as normal here. It was completely cloudy today, so it was an easy run. It’s getting colder again; I can feel it in my feathers. Anon has said that there are many more mechanics here and that they have a lot more tools, which he likes. Really he was gushing about the number and variety of tools he now has at his dispose. I guess it’s just a mechanics thing to get excited about a welding torch. They have a pub at this aerodrome too, and it seems they don’t close until midnight, which means an extra hour of drunk shenanigans. It’s a larger pub too with TWO pool tables, some normal darts, bits of downed German aircraft hanging on the walls, and the likes. I like it, but I wonder if the bar tender is as nice as old Nick was back home… This is my new home now... I’ve got to get used to that.
>>
>>27612338
>She was sitting on her new cot across from you looking down at her hooves.
>You set down your pen and let the ink dry.
“So you think you’ll get used to this new home Gale?”
>She falls backwards, landing on her sheet in a huff.
>”Yah, I will, just like I got used to the last one.”
“Did yah really get used to the last one now?”
>She turns to you, a little sad smile on her face.
>”I was starting to get the feel of it… but I’m not used to this world, Anon.”
>You close the book and blow out the lamp.
>You make your way over to her cot, and take a seat next to her.
“You know Gale, I thought I knew this world rather well myself when I was a boy.”
>You lie down next to her on the cot, resting your head on your arms.
“But then the world I knew tore itself apart leaving me with this mess. I don’t recognize this world anymore. It’s not the same one I played in as a lad. Now everyone is killing everyone, and for what? Some land? Some diluted sense of glory? I don’t know. All I know is that the world I knew is gone, and may be gone forever.”
>She lies next to you, resting her head on your shoulder.
>>
>>27612341
>”I feel the same a lot, being a pony and all. I’ll never get home at this rate, probably never will. There’s never been a war like this where I come from, but so much here feels the same too. The nature, the animals, even the people in the towns act so much like the ponies would back home, but the violence. The violence is so, so… different.”
>She shivers, and you wrap an arm around her.
“One day things will calm down. I swear they will.”
>Today was an exhausting day for the both of you. Lots of new faces, new tasks, and exploring have been done.
>Not to mention the rounds of drinks that were bought at the pub.
>You let out a great yawn, as you settle yourself further.
>You feel her do the same, stretching out her wings, draping one over your chest.
>You disturb her only to grab for the blankets by your side, covering the both of you.
>You share a kiss before settling to sleep.
>Her mane tickles your chin that night.
>But you both sleep soundly, knowing the night fighters patrol the skies around the aerodrome.

Well this isn't exactly the longest update, but I've been rather sick the past few days, and not really in the mindset of writing. This fic won't last too much longer... Hope y'all enjoy!

>”By looking at your face old chap, I’m taking that you’re a new recruit?”
>You look up to find a Griffin with a Griffish accent, laying on the side of the trench with a periscope.
“Uh, yes sir, came in yesterday, from Vanhoover.”
>”Hmm, I didn’t think you were that fresh, just out of boot camp. So much for this war being finished by Heartwarming eve.”
“Is that a problem sir? I received full trai-”
>The Griffin cuts you off.
>”HEY GET YOUR HEAD D-”

>You spin around to find a new recruit from your platoon fall back from the side of the trench and slump on the floor.
>It takes a few moments to dawn on you that the pony isn’t moving.
>He’s dead.
>Like a lead weight, the feeling of dread sits in the base of your stomach.
>You were at war, on the front-lines.

>”The daft git, that’s the third new recruit today. Didn’t they teach you not to look over the trench?”
>You come back to your senses with a shake of the head.
“Errr...no. We were just drilled on going ‘up ‘n’ over’ and how to cross to another trench.”
>”Great, they’re just sending in cannon fodder. A bunch of arses, all of them.”
>The griffin looks disgruntled on his recent findings.
>”If you want my advice, keep your gas mask on you at all times, Keep your weapon clean and finally, keep your head down.”
>You mull over the griffins advice for a few moments.
“But what about going over? I have to look over the side then.”
>The griffin laughs.
>”You’ll be praying.”
>The griffin taps the grey earth pony next to him with his talon.
>”Oi Grain, take watch for me.”
>>
>>27632678

>He passes over the periscope to Grain and slides down the side of the trench.
>He glares at you with a whole new demeanour and spoke with a stern voice.
>”We are getting off track. I’m Corporal Swiftwing, and these troops along here are my section. Four troops in total. To give you a sense of what we are dealing with their supposed to be twelve. You can guess what happened to them.”
>You put your weight onto your hind legs as the feeling dread makes a presence one more.
>”The rules are simple. If the whistle blows, you got over the top, no excuses. Listen to me, and I’ll get you across no-pony land alive. If you run or refuse an order I’ll kill you myself. Understood?”
>You gulp.
>”Understood sir.”
>”Good.”
>Swiftwing drops the demeanour as a smile crawls along his beak.
>”So What's your name Private?”
“Private A-”
>”INCOMING! EVERYPONY GET DOWN!”
>Grain shout on top of his lungs.
>Before you knew it Swiftwing grabs your front leg and drags you down to the dirt.
>You curl up into a ball and force you eyes shut.
>The ground rumbles as explosions erupts around you.
>”We got to move! Everypony! Into the dugout!” You hear Swiftwing shout.
>Once again you feel yourself being dragged. The dirt and debris hit your face as you run.
>To your despair you feel the talon grip slip away leaving you stranded amongst the carnage.
>Ponies push past you either shouting or panicking as dirt and shrapnel pommels their bodies.
>”PRIVATE!”
>You spot Grain shouting from the dugout.
>As you start to run to safety you hear the whistling of you doom coming from behind.
>You froze.
>You braced.
>You hoped.
>>
>>27632726
>You wasn’t sure how long you were out.
>Everything just feels heavy.
>You start to move your legs you feel the dirt move between them.
>Pushing you head up you cough as fresh air hits your lungs.
>Everything sways and shakes, as the sounds are mute as you ears ring.
>Ponies lay on the floor dead or squirming crying out for a medic or their mothers you couldn’t quite make it out.
>Finally some relief as a talon touches your shoulder.
>”How in tarturus did you survive that?”
>As you open your mouth Swiftwing interrupts you.
>“Never-mind that, we don’t have time, can you walk?”
>You test your limbs and nod.
>”Good,” The griffin pushes you rifle into your hooves and slams your helmet back on your head. “Get to the front we need every gun possible.”
>In a daze you stumble to the front and climb up the side of the trench.

>You try and steady your rifle but you can hardly hold it.
>Your body shakes from the shock of the bombs.

>”You need to breathe.”
>You hear Grain next to you.
>”Deep breathes, do this after every bombardment.”
>Without question you steady your breath and breathe deeply.
>”Brilliant. Now listen this is where it gets ugly.” Grain spoke slowly never taking his eyes from No-ponies land. “Shoot anything that moves, if they get close use your bayonet or use the butt of your rifle. Don’t bother shooting as you wont have time to aim”
>You nod.
>To your left you notice Corporal Swiftwing crawl up beside you with a pistol.
>>
>>27632762
>”Okay, troops! Let’s send these arse-holes back with the tails tucked between their legs!”
>The troops cheer.
>”On my ready!”
>You spot figures of ponies coming towards you. Steadily making their way over debris, unclaimed corpses and barbed wire.
>Some fires a few round into the trench only to hit dirt and sandbags.
>”Steady…”
>...
>You take another breath and lock a pony in your sights.
>”FIRE!”
>The trench fills with deafening gunfire.
> You follow suit and pull the trigger. A fraction of a second later the pony in the grey uniform drops into the mud.
>Without thinking of you actions you instinctively followed your training.
>The next target you miss only to get him after the third round.
>Each time you fired your body starts to shake again.
>You couldn’t breathe.
>”Bucking breathe you idiot!”
>You feel a sharp jab to the ribs, you look down to find Grains hoof.
>You nod and take another breath.
