Why does Hasbro seem so reluctant to touch on topics like death when other companies and cartoons with the same target audience, like Disney or SpongeBob, use it so often? Their target audience already knows about these more mature topics like physical violence and death. Why do they still insist on this?

Well, I can answer the Disney one.

Disney has been around since the twenties. When there was less restrictions on cartoons (like letting cartoon characters drink) And, at this point Disney knows how to go to that live without crossing it.

cuz you cant have death in a TV-Y show.

Huh, that makes sense. I wonder why though Hasbro wants so badly to avoid any death or physical violence of any kind. Spike could of slapped some sense into Twily all those times she was being an idiot.

Don't expect the show to be good on any level.
It's a 22 minute toy commercial.

We have our fun clopping to pony porn and greentext but seriously, I would not be comfortable with any kid of mine watching it. That has nothing to do with bronies or horsefuckers...Hasbro is just a lousy company.

Disney is a mixed bag. They've certainly created some groundbreaking art and are currently doing much better children's programming, but their marketing department is pure, disgusting evil.

I'm not referring to watching someone getting directly killed but just mentioning that a character is dead like scootaloos parents.

Actually, Disney DID do it in their 'Lion Guard' series, which is targeted at even younger viewers.

An elephant character has passed away and the lions send a delegation to the funeral. The body is actually shown, covered in flowers and never directly centered in the shot.

Hasblow is just chickenshit and more worried about selling plastic crap than making a program that might be beneficial to the children in their audience. They dropped all pretense at conforming to FCC 'Educational and Informational' standards after season one.

>Handles topics like death and bullying like how Cartoon All-Stars handled drugs
>Handles serious real world problems like millennials by making strawmen and making fun of the fanbase via strawmen.

That is a very good question, but we've been around Hasbro content long enough to possibly figure it out if you've been a Brony. Hasbro has their "standards" and I really hate how the handle things show wise.

MLP isn't the only one with the problem, After 4 years and 4 seasons, of Littlest Pet Shop, they finally brought up Blythe's mom because the fans have been very, very curious why she isn't in the show and never showed up, they just brought up that she had a Journal Blythe found also a pet turtle and have been more confident about her powers and why she has them. I'm positive the writers *want* to give us more info, but Hasbro will decline it.

I'm glad they brought her up, but I hate how they canned the show so we won't know anything else about her mother or why she isn't around
It's basically the similar thing fans want to know about AJ's parents. All we can rely on is headcanons.

Maybe I'm getting too deep and serious, but Hasbro is something else with how things are handled...
