Is it something she's shown to be capable of?

I think she can, but she just doesn't use her magic for a lot of things. Maybe because magic isn't as big a deal to most unicorns in general.

Her magic level exceeds starlight and twilight combined and has swore never to use it, in fear of cause mass destruction and genocide. If she's in a tight spot she has to rely on physical attacks

Well, there was that pillow fight at a sleepover where she used her magic to catch some pillows and throw them back. Though she mainly used her hooves or bit and swung them.

Not "Canon wise". She's used magical attacks but ONLY in situations where's she's explicitly at a power level higher than her normal power level: Power ponies she can create and summon magical constructs, and she does this again in Do princesses dream of magical sheep.
She's never been shown to possess any actual magical spells besides gem finding and telekinesis in show however.
In the comics, she shoots lasers alot, but everyone does in the comics.
Rarity's magic is largely out of whack when comparing new episodes to old ones
New episodes...she can levitate things and that's it, like every other unicorn with non magic cutie marks
Old episodes, she could instantly transform anything into works of art at will

Does she catch pillows with them? From what I gathered catching moving objects with magic isn't something that's done often, and if it is it's generally just Twilight who does it.
I reckoned it was something pretty difficult to do, given there's a few situations where such a spell might have been useful like pic rel
