I started to get into MLP properly a week or two ago, and im all caught up now.
This means that there arent any more episodes for me to consume, but yet the THIRST for content tugs at my soul.
So I´m looking for fan content to consume. The Friendship is Witchcraft and Mentally Advanced/rainbowdash presents series got me to give the show another try so I've seen those, and I've read Woona on the moon.

That's a long story... Original TCB was a crap, but it get one brilliant idea: ponification via technology. It was written by 18-old garage rock musician, but the one who continue it, were truly awesome!
First place, i mean Chatoyance and her subverse of TCB. She raise the level of nerdy phylosophy and social problems to Dune-level, make it a serious big Science Fiction.
But then starts the war. You see, TCB fiction explained why do people wanted to become ponies and the obviously, the answer was: because mankind suck. So, the less nerdy fandom was very, very outraged. And somehow, the haters win.
This novel are just the most known amongst TCB subfandom.

Just feel lucky that we're not in a hiatus. New episodes are coming every Saturday and it Feels So Good. After June, it's going to be a long wait until closer to the holiday season. And that's a babby mode hiatus; can't even hold a candle to the 11-monther we had between S4 and S5.

- Keep up with pony news. Equestria Daily even has archives of fan content.
- Buy some merch if you have disposable income. Funko vinyls are popular, but vary in availability; Guardians of Harmony fan series will be out soon, too.
- Read the chapter books. The Journal of the Two Sisters has some pretty valuable lore. We're also getting a tabletop RPG sometime this year.
- Draw or write -- or learn to do so, using your love of pony as a catalyst. There is no fan content without fan creators.
- There is no shame in liking the porn to be quite tbqh

Funko vinyls have historically been the most on-model official stuff that's available. The only bad thing is their puffy cheeks. Some of them are super expensive due to their rareness, but most are fine.
Guardians of Harmony is an upcoming toy line designed to court the wider demographics of boys and adults, and the fan series in particular is less toys and more statuettes.

Among the main cast I innitially really liked Twilight, but Rarity grew on me a lot. least favorite is probably Fluttershy cause I dont think theres too much to her personality. I still like her though.
Among the fillies Sweetie Belle is easily my favorite.
Among the extras its too hard to pick, but I like Lyra. Bon Bon and Derpy most of all.

it helps that im a sucker for the greco romano influences. Though I also liked them expanding on the universe a bit. But what probably made it for me was that it was a transition for Twilight from Student to Princess. She had to stop taking a familliar path with known solutions to problems and jump into the deep end. That did make it dumb how much she cared about "passing her test" though.

Just checked to get the exact quote from Celestia:
"In the end, it must be you and you alone who ultimately assists Princess Cadance and Shining Armor in doing what needs to be done to protect the empire."
Twilight was forced to break this restriction in the end when she was trapped in the tower with the crystal heart out of her reach. She had to tell Spike to put the heart under the tower instead of doing it all by herself.
It turned out that that rule was actually meant to be broken in order to pass, because it would demonstrate that she cares more about saving the empire than passing a test. Still, Twilight didn't know this, so she hesitated for a moment before telling Spike to do the job. That moment of hesitation could have cost the lives of thousands, and she wouldn't have hesitated if not for Celestia's restriction.

This is a good advice. And it isn't just about musicians deleting their channels when they move on to a different fandom, usually some works get copyright strikes and shit and they simply can't be reuploaded again, so you can't even count on reuploads.

Thanks for this list. I've been in the fandom since late 2011, but I never actually got around to looking for music, save for the most then-famous pieces (Mic, Glaze, TLT... you know what I'm talking about).

I also recently found out (more like rediscovered) two amazing orchestral composers by the names of Carbon Maestro and Evening Star. If you guys like classical instrumental music (and the occasional DnB) I would recommend them highly.

Seconding these recommendations. I'm particularly fond of Carbon Maestro's Ascension EP and The Siren and the Seamare. His Pony Empires series is also the closest thing I've seen to epic worldbuilding in the form of music.
